The Two shot wound up being my Goldlocks Ashland. Started with a Johnny since I've carried billfolds for over 40 years. I wasnt happy with the way the thin latigo was wearing inside, so tried a thick cxl Johnny. It is a beefy wallet. Will keep it in the winter rotation, but it will take quite a bit of breaking in. Went to the opposite end of the spectrum with a one shot as a summer front pocket but found it to be too narrow. Tried the Frank next and it is a good 3 pocket, but is taller than I like for front pocket, but it stays in the rotation for carrying a good number of cards. Finally landed on the Goldilocks two shot in reverse cordovan and it is just right. Carrys 6 cards and a couple of folded bills easily. Having the cordovan reversed makes the cards slip in and out easily. I guess I am a two pocket guy as this now splits turns with my Fielders Choice card case.
They dont cover them up. That is the reverse side of the leather. Not my thing either, but a lot of folks like it and Ashland does a mix of reverse and regular
Thank you for the patina update, it's looking great!
yeah why not? wouldn't mind seeing the reno mat's effect on your wallet

Will an A6 size notebook fit? They're beautiful with the stamps.
Beautiful leathers, but why cover them up with the ink stamps? That is a dealbreaker for me. Looks gaudy IMO.

The ink stamp is coveted by collectors. It also fades with time as the reverse side patinas more dramatically. Reverse shell patina is awesome.
If you wanted it without the ink stamps, they could probably cut the shell using portions without them
.
Just email them and tell them you don't want an ink stamp showing.
@@adkmtns5726 exactly Horween..as opposed to Shinkei, Rosado..it a pride thing
Reno Mat would need to be followed by some reconditioning...
