Mismag822 - The Card Trick Teacher hi , thank u for the video , i didnt undrestand how u are linking cards with alphabet on 2:00 minutes ! Can u plz explain ?! Thank u
I was actually JUST going to say this but I'm glad I saw your comment; and to the query below yours: at the 2 minute mark stated... 11 = 1+ 1 = 2 (minutes of vid) pretty cool, eh?
Here's a creepy one. 9 court cards have 2 eyes for total of 4 eyes 9 x 4 = 36 eyes 3 court cards have one for a total of 2 eyes 3 x 2 = 6 eyes there are 6 angels on the backs of all 52 cards for a total of 12 eyes 12 x 52 = 624 36 + 6 + 624 = 666? eyes in total. The Ace of Spades does have a lady with 2 eyes, but she wasn't always there. Rumor says she was added to the ace to change the total.
Try this one, If you add all the characters spelling each card Ace through King it is 3+3+5+4+4+3+5+5+4+3+4+5+4=52. 52 happens to be the number of weeks in a year. Since most people don't use the jokers much, subtract their letters coming out to 42. 42 happens to be the meaning of life. Whoever made playing cards must have telekinetic powers. :)
seriously, when you were flying through those numbers I was pretty lost and wondered a little if you were blagging but I laughed out loud when you pulled the 365 out of the deck. Nice work
The word 'coincidence' has 11 letters...you could maybe work that in as a way to spell out the end of the story. Something like "I have 11 cards, left, which seems an odd coincidence since there are 11 letters in the word coincidence' or something along those lines. Just a thought - very cool story.
It is said that a standard playing card is approximately 0.366 mm. Thick I have also heard that if you received all the gifts accumulated in the song " The Twelve Days of Christmas." and then you began returning one gift every day you, will return the last gift on Christmas Eve of the following year.
Bicycle cards came out 1885 and that is the year we started using this Gregorian calander instead of the Julian calander. Gregorian system of 12s and the idea of a leap year fits perfectly! So cool. Pope Gregory xiii calender (13 days ahead of the Juliana calendar.)
If a deck comes 4 aces through to four kings order, 8 two pile rotations will sit cards in suit order Ace through King 13 cards followed by Ace through king 2nd suit in 1 pile and the other 2 suits in the other pile.
Transcript: There are 52 cards in a deck. There are 52 weeks in a year. There are 7 days in a week. If you multiply 52 x 7 you get 364 days. What happened to the extra day? If we add all the values: Ace,2,3 all the way to 10, jack, queen and King worth 13 it equals 364 as well. The deck accounts for this by adding a Joker for the 365th day. Many decks add a second Joker for Leap year. That gives you the 366th day. There are 12 months in a year. They are represented by the 12 Court (face) cards. 4 Jack's. 4 Queens. 4 Kings. The average value of Court cards is 12 because Jack is worth 11, Queen is worth 12 and King is worth 13. 12 signs in the Zodiac. Again 12 months in every year. 12 hours in every day. 12 hours in every night. There are 4 seasons. There are 13 weeks in each season. There are 4 suits with 13 cards in each suit. If you average out all letters if you spell all 13 cards it comes out to 4 letters. That's why you can arrange the entire deck in 4 aces on top of 4 twos etc with 4 Queens on top of 4 Kings at the bottom and spell each and the card that you turn over on the last letter will be that card. This not only works in English, but also Dutch, French, German and Swedish. If you take all 52 cards in order minus the Joker and deal down into 2 piles. After doing this 24 times, the cards will be back in order. There are 24 hours in a day. Each deal represents a 1 hour rotation. After 24 hours, it starts all over again.
I knew about a few of these card coincidences, but most are new to me, im guessing the person/people who invented the deck of cards really put some thought into it!
Hey mismag822 great video :D hey does anyone know a good magic website where I can get blank faced playing cards I'm trying to do the this that other trick but I was driven for bout 1.5 hrs yesterday and couldn't find ONE magic shop
btw, it works in Dutch when you translate lady into "dame". Wich is correct. But we call the lady "Vrouw" meaning: woman. Cause there is a V instead of the Q of queen. So when doing it in Dutch we should first say that the lady is in this trick: dame. PS. thanks for the selfworking, no slide of hand, tricks :D
The two colors on the faces (red and black), or the two sides of the card (front and back), symbolize day and night. There are thirteen cards in each suit. In a lunar year, the moon goes around Earth thirteen times. There are thirteen weeks in each season. There are twelve hours in each day and each night. There are twelve animals in the cycles of the Chinese calendar.
There's a program you can use called "Format Factory". It's free, so just Google it then download it. Once you open it, click the button on the left that says "All to WMV" then import the file you want. Hit convert and you should be good :) If you can't do it from my instructions, then don't worry. It's quite simple to figure out so you should get the hang of it :)
Doesn't work in french if I am right... As (gives an ace) Deux (gives a two) Trois (gives a three) Quatre (gives a five ^^" ) Cinq (gives a six^^" ) Six (gives a six) Sept (gives a seven) Huit (gives an eigth) Neuf (gives a nine) Dix (gives a ten) Valet (gives a Jack) Dame (gives a queen) Roi (gives a king) and one card is still remaining
Also, the U.S card playing card company was founded in 1867. Bicycle cards started printing in 1885. Break both years into four numbers and add them they equal 22. 1+8+6+7=22=1+8+8+5. 11 cards left plus the day it was posted on is 11+11=22. There couldn't be a better day to post this.
The motivation for the Gregorian reform was that the Julian calendar assumes that the time between vernal equinoxes is 365.25 days, when in fact it is presently almost exactly 11 minutes shorter. The error between these values accumulated at the rate of about three days every four centuries, resulting in the equinox being on March 11 (an accumulated error of about 10 days) and moving steadily earlier in the Julian calendar at the time of the Gregorian reform...source: Wikipedia
That trick with spelling out the values of the cards works in Dutch, I checked. But I also checked in French and German and it didn't work there, so... Who's gonna check in Swedish?
The joker still has 3/4 left since it only comes once a year, so that rounds to a whole and the eleven cards left over plus the joker equals the 12 months in a year!
Hey, It isn't actually a coincidence as if you look into the history of a deck of cards the reason there seems so many coincidences with calendars and clocks and a deck of cards is because that is the basis on which they were created. They were created to mimick a year under religous eyes. Ace of spade representing the one lord and court cards to represent power and each card has a philosophical meaning. Then from that they have number basis and reasoning. Look into the history of cards
Wow there was a lot in there that I had never heard of. I especially like the 24 hours in a day bit. Congrats on the new camera!
Good One! 11 cards left, it was uploaded on the 11th, and if you add all the numbers in the date it totals 11. 4-11-2012 4+1+1+2+0+1+2 = 11

3 court cards have one for a total of 2 eyes 3 x 2 = 6 eyes

she wasn't always there. Rumor says she was added to the ace to change the total.
Please can you explain the 6 angels (angle’s ?) on the back of each playing card. Also, how does this make 12 eyes ?

that was mind blowing!!!
Cool!
This is a great video!
It does work in dutch but you will have to start of with the aces, and use the names dame and heer for queen and king
If a deck comes 4 aces through to four kings order, 8 two pile rotations will sit cards in suit order Ace through King 13 cards followed by Ace through king 2nd suit in 1 pile and the other 2 suits in the other pile.
great setup!
okay, i can start you off, this video was uploaded on the 11th of April (you have 11 cards left)

How did you do this
I know what the 11 cards mean at 3:43 , they mean that you uploaded this video the 11th
Wonder how long it took you to set those decks up so you had them in the right order...
What year is it right now ???
Nice video! And =3 is even here)
Dude he said it wasn't a trick to begin with. He was just showing us some cool stuff. He told us that it wasn't sleight of hand.
any thing for 11 ?
This should be made into a false shuffle routine, kinda like 673 king st.
At 3:51 you said 11 cards right? Well today is 11th! Thumbs up so mismag read this!
the 11th card means the date you uploaded this video :) how spooky?
the 11th card means the date you released this video :)
You are so awsome!!!!!
You can preform the trick to someone at 11 o'clock.
Have to do with 11 cards left and a clock. :)
i am going to be 13 next year and there are 13 cards in each suit??
when are you going to make a nother one
You had 15 cards in your hand and on the table together. Parents (cause I'm only 12) normally only allow kids to stay up for 15 hours.
Harts represent - Spring
Diamonds represent - Summer
Clubs represent - Fall
Spades represent - Winter :):):):):)
Awesome hd camera
That trick with spelling out the values of the cards works in Dutch, I checked. But I also checked in French and German and it didn't work there, so... Who's gonna check in Swedish?
How did you remember All of that
The joker still has 3/4 left since it only comes once a year, so that rounds to a whole and the eleven cards left over plus the joker equals the 12 months in a year!
Hey, It isn't actually a coincidence as if you look into the history of a deck of cards the reason there seems so many coincidences with calendars and clocks and a deck of cards is because that is the basis on which they were created. Then from that they have number basis and reasoning. Look into the history of cards
What year is it?
Yes that's why I say this trick doesn't work in french... it's because the cards you got are A,2,3,5,6,6,8,9,J,Q,K +1
Bob Cassidy could have learned a thing or two about this; you could have taught him a thing or two.
If you add the value of the remaining cards, you get the same total as adding ace 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 jack queen and king
there's a difference on the gargoyls deck one side between the wings there is like 4ts of a circle and on the other side there isn't
also, If you add the numbers of "doom day" it totals 11. 1+2+2+1+2+0+1+2=11
Wow, I actually took the time to split the deck in half 24 times LOLOL
LOL that was dump from my side, never mind anything :p
I knwo a story about 52 weeks in a year about the playing cards were made and has cool stuffs about the year joekrs(magician) and cards
On the diamond back cards there are 365 diamonds.
I like this in 02:00!:)
Shuffle your whole deck, then cut it, and ABRA KA DABRA, you have 52 cards!
The letters in ace through king add up to 52
heres one if you add all the pips together it adds to 365 and there are 365 days in a year
one thing to keep you out of legal trouble whoever gives you the idea give them a shout out
@mismag822 I have a request Jay. today your at 365 vids on here so when you get to the famous 500 vids can you show us your face then??
It technically breaks for Swedish when you get to the Queen, but you could replace it with "dam" and it would work. That is like cheating, though. :P
Ray William Johnson reference!! :)
in chinees astrologie there are 12 animals(12 hours) split in 4 (suits, seasons) directions
hey mismag822 now u have 365 videos so i can watch one video per day and it will take me a year to finish it
There are 13 lunar cycles in a year, which is why there are 13 values.
