  • Phirni (Firni) is a thick and creamy pudding made from broken/crushed rice and milk that is traditionally served in small clay pots. Though it can be had warm, it's most commonly served chilled after a meal. Slow cooked and flavored with saffron and cardamom and garnished with pistachios and almonds, phirni is a popular North Indian dessert, similar to rice kheer or seviyan kheer, for festivals like Diwali or Karwa Chauth.

    I wonder if this works with almond milk?

    • @showmethecurry
      @showmethecurry  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should. Basically, the milk is cooked down and thickened with rice. Almond milk should react similarly.

    Wow, it was liquid-y when you took it off the flame. Later it must have thickened. When she scooped it out I felt like grabbing it off from her. Super.

      Yummy, right? Yes, it does thicken quite a bit as it cools and sets in the fridge.

    Oh come on ladies you couldn't be that silly.. This came from Britain just check your history.. The English are the puding race and do puddings way better than any other country bar none.. Rice pudding is a British invention so बात करना अच्छा है So do I give this a thumbs up I need to think
