There is one singular, tiny patch of mysterious lava on the ground behind the Coliseum, but even with directions, I found it *insanely* hard to find.

Allegedly Lurelin village was the spot for a fifth divine beast relevant to the main story. There's sketches of it in the book and a model of a manta ray and whale hybrid in one of the tech labs. I don't think this is news at this point but the fact that it lines up on the map if you were to draw direct lines from the current divine beasts to the castle is pretty interesting. That and it seems as though the gulf was cut out specifically for something big to reside in it

Every one of the shrines weird names is a scrambled version of one of the names of people who worked on the game. Also, the guy on the bridge is a direct reference to an actual person who would hang out on a large bridge and talk people out of jumping. The name escapes me

i seriously hope we get something like arbiter’s grounds in totk! we need massive difficult dungeons and we need terrifying spooky vibes. i may be a little coward baby in video games but for some reason i loved arbiter’s grounds so much, tied with snowpeak ruins as my fave dungeon of tp. (of course the fact that the room i was playing it in was super noisy and drowned out all bass audio probably really helped. if i had been fully subjected to the creepy music while fighting for my life and sanity i might’ve felt differently)

There’s spot in the area just south around the woodlands tower (underneath one of the wooden platforms beneath bokoblins, i believe) which is an invisible hole you can fall into and see a glitchy colourful screen; it’s pretty cool!
Dude on the bridge didn’t stop you because he was too far away / wasn’t looking at your direction! If you get closer to him and kinda make sure he can see you, he’ll say something. Also after you’ve jumped, go up and talk to him again. iirc he’s say something like “you scared me there”
I don't know if you know this or not, but if you keep your distance, lynels don't attack you immediately when they see you until you draw your weapon. It's nothing super unique, but ithink it's a pretty cool detail. Also love the videos Danny keep doing great work.

By knocking Beetle over, you can slowly direct him elsewhere…Wolf Link (at least I think it was WolfLink) brought two Beetles to the same stable at one point
🤣 I'm pretty sure the little girl talking about the kingdom in the sky is talking about heaven. "Good kids get to see the kingdom in the sky" means good kids go to heaven when they die.
I've always wanted to see your take on the Special Delivery side quest. It's kind of controversial with BOTW fans, because it has a Zoran girl sending a love letter to a Hylian boy.
It's a complicated quest where you have to guide a bottle down the river in the Zoran domain and keep it from getting hung up by obstacles in the water while being attacked by lizalfos.
It's kind of weird because the Zoran girl is much younger than the Hylian boy so if you don't want to do it I'd totally understand, but the obstacle course part of the quest is actually pretty good.
The Zora girl explains that she and the Hylian boy are the same age. It can be assumed that Zora physically age slower than Hylians which is why Sidon and King Dorephan aren't walking corpses like Impa. Hopefully that helps you feel better about their relationship!

If you feed pretty much any dog at any stable enough (prime?) meat, it will eventually lead you to a treasure chest that you can otherwise not access!
Throughout the map there are holes in the world collision and you can climb in them it does nothing but its neat. You can only see this when its raining but there's also a little kid in Hateno Village that has a book with someone who looks kinda like Link with the champion's tunic gotta love the little details.
ToTK comes out on my birthday. It's almost here, oh god.

Neat vid! I'm doing one last playthrough ahead of Tears of the Kingdom myself, and I've come across a couple o' nuggets I never found before:
1) If you visit Mekar Island at night, you get attacked by a full roster of Stal enemies. I think I may have read about this'n before, but I forgot about it 'til I came across it. Seems like it may have been attached to a scrapped shrine trial or something.
2) Link's horse! For the first time, I happened upon the unique horse design Link rides in the memories and in the final cutscene. Before, it always confounded me how he got it back in the ending. 'Course, this won't do Danny much good; Horatio 4 life xD!
Wait, regarding point 2... you can find Link's horse? I don't even recall what it looked like in the memories!
@@AstroAnalysis I happened upon it in the same area as the royal horse sometime after I'd caught and stabled that one. Had to double-check the memories after I found it =P.

It wasn't the horse that affected the lynel, it was the fact that it was raining during their clip, which dulls the reaction time
There is an easteregg in hyrule Castle (which i have as a tattoo) you can find it in the main room where you fight ganon go check it out

you can walk past a Lynel (at a reasonable distance) and they won’t attack as long as you don’t have a weapon drawn.

I recently went back to playing the game cause I wanna 100% my original save file before TotK comes out, and I thought I had discovered it all…well that was not true lol I have unlocked some map location names I didn’t know I was missing, plus I can’t believe I originally missed the 3 bridges in the Akkala region?? The game that keeps on giving, even 6 years later 🙈
