There are no more TRIBES in modern Ghana. Tribe has a connotation of primitive, small, not connected to the central government, etc. Europeans who used TRIBES for Africans, didn't use it for themselves. The Europeans used nationality and ethnic groups for themselves. With the level of development in Ghana and Africa, we now have Ethnic Groups, and no more tribes. How can anyone refer to big ethnic groups like, Igbos, Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Ewe, Fanti, Bono, Gonja, etc. as tribes. They are ethnic groups and not tribes.

Stop this your unnecessary comparison. All Ghanaian women are beautiful. The most curvy women in the world are found in Ghana. Asante Fante are both of the Akan people. But in different Akan group. Akans live in groups.
The Guans are the oldest indigenous, and adaptable people in Ghana 🇬🇭. Akans came to meet them.

I am 1/4 Guan. My paternal grandfather was 100% guan. He hailed from Winneba in the central region of Ghana. However there are ghans from different parts of Ghana are known by different names and tribes. Those from the Central region of Ghana are known as Effutu people. From the northern part of Ghana they are known as Gonjas. The Eastern guans are the lartehs, the Anums. In the oti region.they are known as nchumuru, and in the volta region of Ghana we have the nkonya and alavanyo who are also guans.
