- San Diego California's famous Kobey's Swap Meet has its Swap-n-Shine Vintage Volkswagen Car Show April 9th 2022. Randy and Doug cruise along the coast picking up friend Randy Carlson from OLDBUG.com and TH-cam Channel CARCHAEOLOGY / @carchaeology Three VW buses find friends and fun , tacos at Taco Surf in PB and plenty of deals in the swap . What a great video! Lots of cool rides and characters. I miss living around the corner in OB. I built a 66 and a 59 bug around 2003 in the alleys of OB with good friends. If I lived there I would have definitely been there for the swap and show!
Sounds like a great time to be in OB. We spend a lot of time around those beaches 🚌🏄♂️🏖 there used to be a lot more VWs down there but still a bunch left 🤙

I can't get over all the beat-up dilapidated Rust-buckets. These shows are usually featuring Vintage restored, or like-NEW vehicles. Some of these look like they just got pulled from the salvage yard 😳.
There are all types of VWs at the show. Restored and original. We don’t disseminate. Everyone is welcome. Thanks for following along 🎉🚌🕺🏾👍😀
The real shame about the VW type one and two is it’s so damn hard to get anyone to work on them. I’ve had a 65 when I first got out of the service in 65, a baywindow after I got married in 79 and now an 84 Vanagon now that I’m 75 and can’t work on cars. No one in Tennessee or Arkansas that I can find will touch my Vanagon. They aren’t set-it-and-forget-it vehicles. They need valve adjustments all the time and other drivetrain work every year.

That tent is OG westy 😍🚌⛺️🙌 nice as they come 🥰 the Kobeys swap meet show is a really good one. Definitely worth checking out. San Diego has some good shows. A good one is coming up on September 11th in imperial beach 🏖 🚌

Right off the 91 freeway. It’s and awesome campout. Starts on Thursday but the actual car show is Sunday. 🚌🎉🕺🏾🙌.
