Fun Fact: Back in the day, the three-reel art was screen printed onto Duratrans, a translucent plastic with a high white point,manufactured for use in back-lit signs. Nowadays, the art in some cases is printed with UV Gel inks and metallic inks that are cured with LED light. Duratrans is still used and .015 white polycarbonate is another substrate used by some manufacturers. The white you see within the different artworks is not always white ink. In most instances, the white is actually the Duratrans or polycarbonate material.
