- 愛錶成癡的Sunny，從小時候第一隻錶CASIO,後來的SWATCH ，直到大學畢業後工作開始存錢才開始踏入這個手錶的無底洞，曾經也很狂熱於古董Rolex，直到後來發現GERALD GENTA這位手錶界的畢卡索，才找到屬於自己真正喜愛的古董錶。來聽聽這一路上Sunny對收藏古董錶的心境轉變吧！

述說著一只手錶的故事、眼神一亮、讓人覺得每個物品背後都有值得去發掘的故事、也更值得珍惜！
我只有一隻錶，一隻70年高齡的OMEGA SEAMASTER，很簡單很素的一隻機械錶，那是父親配戴了一輩子留給我的遺物，父親年輕時辛苦工作買下的第一隻錶
父親認為錶的功能就是看時間，搞一堆花裡胡俏的都是人的慾望加上去的，有故事的該是帶錶的人，而不是錶
父親在世時幾乎每日配戴，我現在維持配戴一個月休息一個月的作法，儘量減少他的磨損，希望他能陪我走更長的路，他一直都是原裝未更換過零件的狀態
我相信他是有故事的，他的故事裡沒有別人配戴過的短暫炫耀或純粹把玩或投資增值
他很忠實的記錄著父親與我的每一個重要時刻，我正延續著他的故事.....

錶店的老師傅告訴我因為是古董錶，如果磨損到一定程度可能容易故障，古董錶零件不好找，修是一定能修，但是否還能維持原裝就難說了
對我而言，當然在配戴時還是希望能儘量維持原樣
錶店老闆建議我一年中不要一整年都配戴，老錶了，走一走要給他休息一下，這樣才能走的久
我認為一年中有半年配戴，應該不算不常配戴了吧，至少在我的主觀認知上算是有再配戴的，不戴錶的時候用手機也能看時間
@AKS Lin 我並沒有不信任原廠，但我的確沒有找原廠保養我的手錶，單純原因就是原廠的收費不是我能接受的，這原因您滿意嗎? 我是在台北八德路附近一家老錶店保養我的手錶，每次保養就收費個數千元，我很開心有這麼一隻錶，也盡力在我能力範圍內去維護他
您無須疑惑我的戴錶方式，每個人有自己戴錶的習慣和想法，相互尊重就好!!
我只是單純發錶我跟家父因為錶而延續的情感和我們自己家的歷史，我不礙著誰
您有許多錶，你每天換不同錶，你高興就好，倒也不用刻意去討論別人怎麼戴錶
您這樣的溝通方式，會令人不快，不知在現實生活中是否有人跟您提點過這個?
還是說您是成功人士，身邊人多只講好話給你聽?
我的人生如何過，不需要你來教，不是嗎?
我不是玩錶的人，我只是戴錶的人，我也沒有一次洗油30萬的口袋深度
我也不會跟有30萬口袋深度去洗一次油的人聊錶，我相信他們也沒興趣跟我這種不玩錶的門外漢多聊上幾句，因為彼此對錶的不同檔次，多聊都是浪費彼此時間
就像我是程式設計師，你如果不懂電腦程式，我跟你多聊不也是浪費我的時間?
如果您要表現出您是有品味又多金的玩錶一族，那抱歉了，我對你的玩錶沒興趣，
我對別人的多錶也毫無興趣，對你的錶友的30萬洗油也沒興趣，頂多就是現實世界裡遇到，我會裝著虛偽但不失禮貌的表情吹捧一下：哇~ 30萬洗一次油，真有錢，巴拉巴拉....( 人總是愛聽好聽的話，他在你面前炫耀一下你總要捧個場說他好棒棒，不是嗎? )
或許你只是單純想要告訴我，只要靠花錢，沒有錶是不能修的
但我的文字只是想表達，那隻父親留給我的錶，是我一直珍愛的記憶，我很滿足
我在意的不是錢，不是物質，而是回憶、是念舊
口說有多珍惜這手錶，但身體卻很誠實，為了省那一點小錢寧可給小店修也不回原廠修。

誰規定珍惜兩個字一定要跟金錢多寡畫上等號? 所以你追女人都是用錢砸的嗎? 所以你能追到就是因為你錢砸贏其他競爭者嗎?
所以你的價值觀都是用花錢多少去衡量是否珍惜嗎?
而且我的錶又沒有壞，幹嘛要修? 我是正常每五年定期保養，誰規定保養一定要回原廠? 誰又保證原廠的技術一定是最好的呢?
哈哈，兄弟冷靜啊...希望你再想想原廠是不是比外面的小店可靠，假設小店真的不小心把零件弄壞了，你覺得他有替換的零件嗎？是我的話，我可不原意最珍惜的手錶承受這風險。

Dude, keep up the great work. Love your videos. We walked similar paths, trying to hunt for the next grail. Been there, done that - and now I’m in the same phase as you are in defining who I am in terms of my collection. Obviously your collection is much more rare and expensive.

If you like vintage, Rolex and Gerald Genta then you should look into the Rolex Oysterquartz. Although GG didn't design the OQ but he did design the 1st Rolex quartz watch or the Rolex Beta 21. Rolex took that DNA and brought OQ to market in 1977 and continued with the same design without any changes till 2001 when it was discontinued. It was estimated a total of 25,000 produced with the span of 25 years. The SS or TT goes for $4-6K USD and the PM goes for $12-4K USD. But there are some models (19058, 19068, 19078, etc) that are rarer and demand a premium also these models are rarely seen on the market. Maybe at an auction? I'm still a newbie in watch collecting (5 yrs) , but I like to share a little of what I know about this special watch. BTW, love your watches and look forward to seeing more videos like this.

Actually Genta designed watches have become way more hyped than vintage Rolex for thes past couple of years. Every watch gathering I’ve been to it’s all about jumbos, quite boring to say the least.
Yes, gerald genta is not like a big deal in the watch industry, his design of the royal oak and nautilus may have save the luxury watch industry during the quartz crisis but he's just a designer, not a watchmaker. There are other legend watchmakers like Philippe Dufour that only watch nerds or watch lovers knows.

Lol...well, I guess that’s why it’s a black hole... collectors appreciate the defects such as the patina, the tropical dials, the faded bezel inserts, and since there’s a market and huge demand for it, dealers are able to profit from these so called defects. However in the end, what you are saying is right... they r still defects haha... but I loved it!!! Lol

He’s a huge watch guy and collector and is renowned for it. There were reports saying he’s spent half of his net worth on watches. If you’re interested, search Hodinkee talking watches with John Mayer on youtube. He’s also done quite a few interviews on watches with GQ and NYtimes! Crazy collection!
