I am so glad your video came up on my feed. Your stitching is awesome. Beautiful job 😊 I too am having allergy issues, winter ones are the worst for me. Having such beautiful projects to work on is a huge distraction and the bigger ones I’m learning give me the greatest joy too. Keep it up 😊 I’ve had a needle in my hand since I was 3..and I’m in my 40s now. There is nothing better than accomplishing those stitch goals every day. 😊 Love some your artwork choices very much too.
Thank you! I'm glad I came up on your feed and that you gave the video a chance. Yeah spring and fall are the worst for me, my wife gets in worse in the winter, she is suffering right now actually.
@@shaunpstitches please extend my sympathy for your wife’s allergies 🤧 they are absolutely no fun and they seem to last forever. I bet scented anything right now causes sneezing fits too. The one thing that works for me and helps relieve some of the nastiness is green tea in the day and chamomile helps for sleep. I’m not being a know it all I promise just offer suggestions?
I also have the dragonfly you’re working on - but haven’t started yet. I’ve only started one HAED and it’s a learning process for me, but I’m determined to do more full coverage.
There is a storybook red dragon one in my wish list along with Tin Girl and the other wizard of oz characters by the artist Hannah....um now I'm blanking in the last name, I dont have my wish list in front of me lol but I have to finish the last Christmas stocking for my family before I even think about kitting up a HAED...but I cannot wait!!
I just found your channel. You have quite a diverse selection and it was very enjoyable to watch. Last week was a horrible allergy week herein Lubbock, Texas, too.
So many projects! Hoping you have some finishes this year. I’m currently married to one piece which is George III (GoldenKite). I’m about to start a new one (Two Nautch Girls) soon to switch it up
Awesome wip parade! Love all of them. I started Hangeds Tree because I fell in love with it when you showed it a few months ago. Hope you have a great couple of weeks.
Wow! You really have a lot of full coverage wips! Love it! Do you have every piece fully kittied up, a master set or just order floss as you go? 🙂 I so agree with you that we should start what we like and that the enjoyment is in the process. However it would be fun to finish something large full coverage too. But in time, I guess. 😅😊
I have a master set that I pull from. I use to fully kit up then at some point I realized I was probably pretty close to having a master set between all the ones I had kitted. So I just bought the ones I was missing and just work from that. I don't worry too much about potential dye lot issues. I have some color issues anyway and probably wouldn't even notice, plus when you go to the store and buy floss you can't be sure every skein is from the same dye lot unless you painstakingly read the small number on every one, and when you order online they are not checking dye lots, they are just grabbing the amount you ordered and sending. So I decided it made more sense to just work from a master set and then all I gotta do is buy fabric when I want to start something, which is probably why I have started so many LOL!
Hi Shaun, great to see all your projects! I also stitch on a lot of different projects and will be starting more. It’s the enjoyment of the stitching for me, not necessarily a finish, so I’m with you there 😉
Hi Silja. Yup definitely a process stitcher. I like to work on whatever piece I'm feeling and if it's one I haven't started yet and I have some fabric I'll just go ahead and start it.
Hey there! Just discovered your channel today so have to go way back and start from the beginning because that’s what I do 😂😂 I like all your full coverage pieces! I totally agree with what you say about starting the things because you want to, I say the same things in my videos 😂😂😂 looking forward to seeing more progress on all your huge pieces!! ☕️☕️
I just came across your channel and even though my taste in subject matter is very different from yours, I enjoyed seeing all your different approaches to full coverage, it definitely gives me something to think about. I've been stitching off and on for 30+ years (yes, I'm an old lady now and have no idea how that happened) but I never felt drawn to full coverage. I'm finally taking the plunge! Thanks for giving me some ideas about how to begin the 2 projects I have!
I hope you enjoy your journey into full coverage. It's just one stitch at time, same non-full coverage, it just feels more daunting because of the size and the amount of confetti. As long as you love the pieces your working on I'm sure you'll enjoy the journey.
I have a master set of DMC. I at one point realized that if I put all the floss together from what I had kitted up I probably had close to a master set. So that's what I did and then bought the ones I was missing. I know I risk dye lot issues that way, but I have issues with color anyway so any minor variations in dye lots I probably won't even notice, and unless you examine the the labels of every skein you buy you can never be fully certain of dye lots anyway, so I decided not to even stress about it.
I drool... I have mainly only worked from kits I've ordered so I dont have a lot. I one day would like to work with silks on linen, that's a goal next year, and have started collecting some sulkie floss as I'm curious, a lot of stitchers say they love sulkie
Hey! About a week ago, my allergies/sinuses started going whacko jacko, and if I don’t get ahead of it, it’s not very long before it’s out of control. I start in on benadryl and that will pretty much stop all the mayhem within 24-48 hours.
Enjoyed your wip parade -just to finish one haed is my goal in my stitching life lol! ***To drain sinuses drain the glands in the neck - Under the chin by making a fist with each hand and gently push under the chin up towards throat until the urge to swallow happens relax hands and swallow. Do as frequently as you want. Dab Eucalyptus oil on cheeks behind ears and on neck and underarms to reduce inflammation and/or clogged lymph nodes. Great for flu too just rub on chest too. Just be gentle as inflamed lymph nodes are full of yuck and to much pressure only damages them then the body has repair them thus allergies persist. Oh and smile drink lots of fluids and let go of the stress😊 happy thanksgiving stitching and breathing. - The adjustment bureau

Thank you for the suggestions. We are also big on fresh ginger. We juice it with a little apple. It's a natural antihistamine/decongestant.
Wonderful ty for the suggestions too 😊
Bravo c'est tout simplement magnifique j'adore qu'elle travaille bonne continuation à vous

Aw. Thanks for thinking of me Lea. Hope you enjoy the video when you get to it.
Hey Shaun. Good to see all your FC pieces. I like your X idea of working on that one with all the background. Sounds fun!
Thank you. Yeah we will see how it goes and if I stick with doing it that way LOL.

Years😮 I’m afraid of these big projects I have my eye on, even if they are stamped now 😂 love the parade 🎉
Thank you!!

Yeah I do my best not to take anything like Benadryl, hate how loopy it makes me. I just ride it out and bump up the natural remedies like ginger.
❤❤❤
❤️
Lovely projects! Enjoy your stitching.

Thanks for the tip!
Great parade (it’s Thanksgiving) has Macy’s beat. Do you have a rotation you use or just stitch on what you fancy at the moment?
Thank you! I just stitch on what I fancy at the moment.
You don’t grid???
No I live on the dangerous side LOL!
