I forgot to mention that FL studio does balance (If you don't wanna use an extra plugin), but only on the instrument rack on the left which isn't very practical.

Hey :) For mono tracks like guitars, both techniques will give you exactly the same result. For the choir technique I used to do stereo panning but I actually never tried balance! Need to try now :)
Usually libraries will be properly made so that the left and right don't phase badly together. But in a way hard panning will be like a mono sum, so some resonances will come out differently and the tone will change a bit depending on which method you use an how hard you pan.

Glad to be able to use this in Cubase-Pro now as the previous version didn't have this option.

I think that inverting the stereo signal is the best option, maybe im wrong
