- The pilot who landed a malfunctioning plane with no wheels at Newcastle Airport did an “excellent job”, says Sky News aviation expert Captain Byron Bailey.
“That aircraft sustained very little damage,” Mr Bailey told Sky News Australia.
“The wet runway of course meant that … there were no sparks.
“So all in all - very impressive job.”
Congratulations to the pilot
It reminds me of Labor the wheels have fallen off.
Excellent interview thank you. And I agree with Bernadine about this video of the landing. It is the best one I have seen. I was watching and imagining the feelings of the people and the pilot on the plane. The other very powerful video I first saw yesterday seems to be no longer available...no sound, no visual pollution, we were just waiting and watchng an empty runway for a few seconds then the plane appeared and
we saw it land and eventually stop. I'm glad I saw that one...a very emotional film. Just watching and imagining, it was magic. So thanks for this intelligent interview too.
The Pilot maybe had a few too many drinks from the onboard trolley service
I love how the rudder is wagging back and forth, like that's gonna help keep the plane straight! But, I guess I'd do the same from force of habit.
At what point do we realise the landing gear did not respond?
Minutes in single units before touchdown or tens of minutes before touchdown?
Before or after confirmation of landing schedule
Before or after allocation of landing strip
type of landing strip, hard or soft?
it was after takeoff
@@DaveOz-mx5oh ah so there could be emergency soft landing strip available at airports
I would have flipped the, "Landing Gear Down", switch.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿Thanks God and the Pilot🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Is that the new Boeing prototype?
...and the moronic comments continue...
