Love this. So easy, cute & pretty. I used red hearts metallic in light gray. Can also pass as a poinsettia using red yarn, stitched tightly. Thank you so much for saving my hopes of getting some homemade ornaments made last minute.
WOW!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!! Your a SUPER TEACHER and your Southern accent is same as mine Sis!! I grew up and spent most of my life in South Georgia! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to make such a BEAUTIFUL star!! You are AWESOME Lady! Very Best! Debra from Tx Ps: Texas is sooo hot! Yuck! Lol
Thank you for sharing your talent and design. This is going to allow me to send some cheer to my team through the postal mail this year. Blessings to you and your family always 💙💙💙🥰
I made this star but I hope it was ok that I added a picot on each point so cute but I am going to make about 60 of these to pass out at church for Christmas perfect instead of chaining 2 chained 3 then went into 3rd chain from hook slpst then finished my other 3 sc then went on to next ring
My sister bought me a DIY Crochet Elephant Plushie, but I don't know how to crochet, and I don't understand the instructions. Is there a video on how to make the Elephant Plushie?
i do like this little star but when I printed out the directions there was a round missing before che ch 15 for the loop. It should read, 3 sc, ch 2, 3 sc?
Just watch it a few times first and picture yourself doing the moves, then give it a try and use pause and rewind. Or slow down the video a bit. Worst thing that can happen is that you end up with a bit of yarn and some knots in it. Videos can be paused and unpaused by slapping the space-bar. Very convenient. Just make sure the focus is on the video (so not on some buttons or the comment section).
Do what I do...get a note pad or notebook and write down each step like rhis.. #1. Chain 4 & slip to beginning chain to make a ring. #2. Chain 3 #3. 2 DC in ring #4. Chain 4 #5. Made 3 DC in ring & chain 4 more. 6. ( YOU WILL HAVE 5 DC TOTAL.) #7. Slip stitch to end on the chain 3. ...GET IT? THIS IS HOW I DO IT. I PAUSE THE VIDEO. EVERYBODY CROCHETS AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS BECAUSE WE ARE ALL AT DIFFERENT LEARNING LEVELS. This lovely lady did PERFECTLY WELL explaining it. It's up to each of us to COMPREHEND what she taught us. With a notebook, I can SIMPLY look at what the steps are to make the star. Matter of fact, I have a spiral notebook that I use especially for crochet patterns. I saw a woman who, on each page, write step by step how to make the pattern in her own way she could understand and then she taped the project beside her notes! That's a GREAT IDEA! That way, she can flip through her "notebook" or "scrapbook", see all the things shes made and look at EACH STEP to make it again. Girl, that's what I'm gonna do! THATS VERY SMART! On the top of my notebook page I just wrote down "STAR ORNAMENT" I'm looking at it right now and I wrote down each step, each single step and numbered them. Then i wrote, "ROUND TWO." #1 Chain 1, turn left. #2. In the open loop or chain area, single crochet 3Xs. #3. Slip stitch over to the middle over to the 2nd DC and just do 3 more SC in that open space, Chain 2, and 3 more Sc toll your at the end then slip closed. Ok? ITS NOT HARD TO TAKE NOTES STEP BY STEP. I'm a very well seasoned crocheting and I STILL have to write it down no matter how simple....Its so I can make dang sure I'm doing it right. Good luck! Lots of love! Deb from Tx!

Very nice video but please, on behalf of the newbies, could you please slow down to make it easier for us to follow :) Thank you
Goes too fast for a beginner learning how to crochet.
