I have both a me-powered bike and an e-bike. I can get as hard a workout on the e-bike as on the me-bike, by keeping the e-bike motor off, or keeping the e-bike in a high gear while in the lowest assist level. I mainly use the e-bike when I've been forced to stop riding for awhile and am trying to build up my stamina again. I can push myself until I'm almost shattered, then use the motor to rest on the way home. Thanks for the review, Leonardo! Well done, sir!
After watching your video quite a few more showed up in my feed and after looking at them I decided to order one. I've been thinking about it for a while although I can still ride at an average of around 25Km/h. I'm not getting any younger (73 next Feb.) I've been looking at e-bikes for a while but couldn't find one I liked until finding this one. It still doesn't have all what I was looking for but near enough. I also got it with the Black Friday deal for 999€.
Hello Leonard, I think it is quite a nice bike with clean lines... i noted that it had a rear mudguard but no front one, which was a bit strange. Thanks for sharing. Take care. Paul,,
When considering the range of an electric bike for the average size rider on a run involving a typical ride of flat roads and some hilly parts a good rule of thumb is that it is difficult to travel more than 3.5 miles for every Ahr of battery. That Heybike with 10 Ahr will give a bit more than 35 miles
That is pretty closely specced to the Motobecane I have. I wanted something more like a bicycle than a motorbike. It adds just enough speed for me to keep up with my wife on 30-40 mile rides. She used to get a nice break every 5 miles waiting for me to catch up. No more of that. Now I can pull a bit ahead and let her draft me into a headwind.
Thanks for the review, Leonard. I have no experience of e-bikes, but this looks great! Are you able to ride this without any assistance from the motor? Thank you
Great review on the e bike, thanks Leonard. As regards the type of workout for the rider, yes the motor can make it an easy workout. But on the other hand, you can go further and therefore a longer workout - just as long as you don’t run out of battery power🪫 50k from home. TAXI!
Good points you bring up. Why no front fender? Expect half the rated distance on battery ratings. Having watched you suffer up hills for hours on your channel, do you ever get to a point and give over to biking for all your episodes? And lastly, do you or your subscribers have any thoughts on their experience going from a regular bike with relatively low Q factor to an e bike with a larger Q factor and the resulting effect on widening the foot placement on the pedals with resulting joint or myofascial pain in the new leg positioning?
@@jollygoodvelo Yes Q factor is the distance between your feet while on the pedals in a horizontal line. Obviously you have to imagine the crank arms are opposite each other not opposite and opposed as is normal. Anyway the measurement is to quantitate the flare of your legs and the mid frame motor increases that distance an inch or two over non motor or rear wheel motor systems Newer motor systems are advertising narrower q factors. Mine measures 7 plus inches with a mid motor and common non motor road bikes are around 6 inches. So you are comparing apple to apples the Q is measured from the outside surface of the crank arm at the pedal spindle hole to the same on the opposite crank.

@@knightwish1623 Enjoy! It’s a nice bike. I genuinely liked it.

Paul,,
It does have a front mudguard but I didn’t fit it. I also has a rack but I didn’t fit that either.

@@johnkinsel5027 This is definitely an e-bike rather than a moped. Stop pedalling and it grinds to a halt.

You are: you can simply switch the motor off and it becomes a regular bike.
Great review on the e bike, thanks Leonard.

Just curious, do you have to return that bike to the company or do they allow you to keep it?
They allow me to keep It
@@mortenthenorwegian2875 Thanks.
Will it scream at me all night long if I don't take it riding that day??? Well, it isn't for me then...
I get the feeling we are no longer talking about bikes.
