I’ve had 3/990 great bikes .no time to play the shop game .. no real problems I know ride Honda 1000 AT good enough but way less time in the shop However KTM 990 all the way much better then the new stuff also SMT 990 great ride been a KTM GUY FOR at least. 6 in I row

Beautiful... I've done most all of the same mods on my 2013 Baja. QQ: What Renthal Fatbar number did you use? It's been a bitch finding a set that will fit all our controls on the right grip.
WARNING to all buyers of second hand 950 / 990. As you have seen in the post, there are quite a few small mesh filters around. I wonder how many threads would be pulled out on small screws by DIY home mechanic experts.....
For adventure riding .... LESS is MORE..... Yamaha is simpler and more reliable . Tenere 700 or AJP PR7 are ideal adventure bikes. Even 690 and 701 Husqvarna are good.
Very important, my last ride a guys front tire locked twice making him wreck. You need to put in another brake line that goes up to the master cylinder and add the high fender of course.
For sure I have been really debating the gas tank. Half the people I ride with have it. Instead I have a storage container that hold all my tools and tubes with easy access. But the tank would be nice too.

Whats the dongles are for?
They take place of a couple of sensors, giving the ECU the command for a certain fuel mapping which makes the bike run better, cooler and stronger.
Where to get them? and where to get lower temp termostad?
Do I need some different map then?
Running akra map not wirh 2nd flies off (990r)
