One thing this game demonstrated is how much Militão brings to the table for Madrid. Sometimes you most see a defender's value in their absence.

It’s irrelevant. Even if Ramos was there .
I knew Real Madrid couldn’t stand that steam of attack.
For a team to concede 28 shot. It shows frailty in their team play.
I do hope City get into Semi for them to have another English onslaught

That Kroos for Camavinga substitute is underrated, it changed the face of the game. The energy, attacking and defensive balance Camavinga injected into the team was an example of in-game management master class. Good move by Ancelotti.

its a crime that none of the pundits give Camavinga any praise. He's the one who turned this tie around for me. Madrid had no high pressures untill he came on and within 20 minutes he singlehandedly stands at the base of those 2 goals by forcing a turnover in possession high up the pitch with his pressure. First by pressing Kante on his right hand side who tries to turn away from the left and open up play, forcing him to turn back to a densely populated zone which leads to a loss of possession and the second time by winning the ball himself of one of the Chelsea defenders and playing the ball into a dangerous area for Vini to run on to. Eddy should have been motm for my money. What a player.

This why need Ancelotti needs to start him, preferably Camavinga Casemiro Modric with Fede at RW. He's never gonna get his credit if Ancelotti is sending the message he's just a bench player. Clearly in this style of match he is preferable to Kroos, and him combined with the solidity of Casemiro, Modric doing everything and the industriousness of Valverde would let Madrid play more freely, but Ancelotti just hasn't given him the chance.

The 2014 Auburn Tigers beat the Georgia bulldogs on a tipped hail marry, then went on to beat number 1 Alabama in the infamous kick 6 game. After the South Eastern Conference Championship, they went on to play Florida State in the National Championship. They seemed to be a team of destiny, and jumped out to an early 20 point lead! Unfortunately, destiny can be a somewhat fickle mistress. In the closing seconds of the game, Jameis Winston threw a touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin to complete an incredible comeback and win the game for Florida State. Like Auburn, I fear Madrid may have a similar tale.

Ale said it perfectly Real Madrid played tentatively because they were trying to protect the lead they had. They weren't committing players forward when should have. Real kicked into gear when they went behind in the tie. Frank saying that Chelsea are the better team is wrong. Real should've scored 5 in the first half of the first leg and this game should been over then.
BTW Real Madrid were the best team in the 1st leg and Chelsea were the best team in the 2nd leg so overall it was even but Real finished their chances.

I think chelsea got their gameplan wrong in the first leg first half. They committed so many players forward that real madrid exposed them on the counter. And tbh three of the real madrid goals over the two games were chelsea errors. Mendy in the first leg and kante arguably for both of real madrid's goals in the second. I think chelsea will be really disappointed not to have gone through as I thought real were pretty average

For the one who doesn't know soccer and watching this clip, he would have thought that Moreno guy definitely used to be the best soccer player among these guys. But in fact, Moreno never played in the top-level soccer, he only played in MLS and was just an average striker in the mickey mouse league.
