I’m from Hau’ula and a Native respect the area if it says stay out stay out. It’s Kapu how would u like it if someone enters your home without permission. These are Kamapua’a’s grounds his home is sacred falls; you can even ask Native Hawaiian and Local boar hunters many of them still bump into him he still roams the whole entire windward and ko’olau areas.
What we should do is give people their liberty. At the same time people should be made aware and forced to be responsible. Everyone so sue happy, it’s sick.
I remember when it was open - not many people knew about it.. crystal clear waterfalls, pools, etc.. Could you inagine today (with technology / internet) how crowded and dirty it would be... not to mention the graffiti?
the spirits of that place wouldn't allow that to happen and if anyone tried well we only know what's gonna happen ...that place is no joke your really in Gods hands back there ...not for having bbqs...gotta be praying the whole time your there if not we'll rocks fall ......can anyone verify that the pool in the back was used by warriors to cleanse themselves after battle??
How does that concept jibe with America's idea of freedom? Why not have folks sign waiver, make family and friends responsible for recovery of remains, etc. Let folks do what they like with their lives, period!
Its disgraceful how only in Hawaii they really embody the leftist quote from Rahm Emmanuel, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.”
@@keetahbrough I had a friend who died trying to rescue people that were lost/stuck in that area. The helicopter they were on crashed and 2 others were also killed. If you stay logically consistent with this then you'd also think America taking over was the ancient European's warning Hawaiins to leave the place they also found then justified to posess by "unfiying" the islands against Kauais will under threat of violent force (prison/death)

Caught one mean boar with kakau on the tusk Akua watching
It doesn’t matter how much the fine is because nobody monitors the area anyway 😅
don't think like that. it's mindsets like that which make tourists go " oh well I won't be caught anyways" and then they get injured.
They are checking their patch of weed
I remember that day. We planned to do the hike for Mother’s Day but decided to do something else. Couldn’t believe it.
its called good karma (you hawaiian, you know it...:).....)
I’ve almost died here. Boulders fall everyday definitely one of the most dangerous places….
wait, hmmm?
Just because no one is reporting it, doesn't mean it isn't happening. That's why they permanently closed it. Too much of a risk.
That’s Akua talking
If they get hurt it's all on them.

Darwinism at work
I mean, entering at your own risk, tragedy can strike anywhere, open it back up!
opens it back up: this just in, a family is sueing the state over sacred falls as flash floods swept their family member away.
I was there before the accident. Beautiful water fall
Omg they filmed them!!
Two stoners looking for wild pot behind the fence.
Those two fellas looked to be Caucasian in nature....
Interesting news!

Someone will still try to sue. It doesn't matter. There is signage on everything and ppl still act stupid and make it look like it's not their fault.
@@jcougar55unfortunately that happens a lot in that area
