Nice work, i been working a couple month on a project like that. It just a 78 K1, but also complete and original. She came as yours did in boxes. I didnt make it before she turned 40 :-) Have a few more in the basement for the next couple of years :-)
I remember jumping off my mates fizzy over the woods coz he zipped off on mine then jumped off laughing so I did the same eye 4 an eye ! Hay grays ha ha 😋
Hi pal, the best thing to do in my opinion is to make a list of what is missing on the bike and then search eBay to see what you can get for it, how easy it is to get hold of and what the price is. The problem with restoration is that you can get carried away and spend a fortune, but you need to look at it from a cost effective perspective unless money is no object. I built this bike in memory of my grandma so money was no object. I spent around double what it's worth. I love it, it's a great memory and great fun, but you need to add it up and see if it's worth it. Bring everything into account such as a possible engine rebuild, the seat base (as these are very hard to find in solid condition), chroming, paintwork, tyres, brakes and so on. It doesn't look very expensive in individual prices but can run into a huge amount over time. You can save a lot of money doing things yourself such as engine rebuilds and seat recovering, but 400 bucks is a very good price as a starting point!
when you are 15 and feel like you're born too late so you buy a Yamaha fs1 2ru, then you look it up on the internet and then you see this video and it starts with your favorite song, that is when you realise life is perfect
@@OliverReilly1 My Honda SS50 came with a front number plate when bought new in August 1974. When I bought an RD200 the following May, that had a front number plate too.
Richard Brookes sorry about that! Hahaha! It's just better than silence but the lyrics if you listen, fit the restoration quite well. Well that's what I thought! Sorry if you didn't enjoy it.
A shorter box was always a discussion with us. One more gear and that short box. 5 speed fizz. A dream x
I got my first one in 1975, the first of many throughout my biking years. Still got photoes of her, and the others. Good luck
Robert Lambert keep them forever! If you have enough savings, buy one as the value is on the up at the moment!
what memories of being 16 in 1980,mine was identical esm610L,actually quite a quick one with its fortnightly decoke,49mph on flat
Yeh open up those ports and carefully cut a piece out the disc valve skim the head and away you go.

Jelle van der Sommen that's so nice of you to say! Glad you enjoyed it! The other parts to the video are out now if you have enjoyed them!
Thanks guys! Part 3 will be coming soon. The bike is now finished and on the road! Just need to make the video
Just found your video. Nice job! Do you recall who restored your clocks?
Καταπληκτικο

Dustin Schings part 2 and 3 are out now

Mopeds of this year didnt have front number plates looks stupid with it trying to make it look older
Christine Crockford it came with it from the dealership from new so I guess I’m not the stupid one
Christine Crockford they were banned in August 1975 so please do your research before coming on to my channel and leaving silly comments!
