Finding diamonds for price of steel 😎👍we need to look little bit differently when every one focused on led models bulb second hand creates opportunities.
I am glad you find your home cinema setup and I hope you enjoy for long time.
Dont forget to clean filters of your projector .

@@homecinematech could you talk about if is safe to use a DLP projector for regular tv and movie viewing , about 6 straight hours every day ? My projector is Viewsonic PX 701-4K , The lamp is set in the Dynamic Eco mode function

My projector is connected to via HDMI OUT from my AV receiver and everything is connected in my AVR , very easy to handle the sound and image in my projector this way and I get full Atmos sound when watching a movie

it is a good idea but you need a long cable to reach from projector to avr and not every device supports hdr 10 and many technologies so you go higher prices.I try to create budget solutions. I can also create guide for setups like ours

It seems like predicted bulb hours have increased on newer projectors (and some models have cheaper bulbs now). I wonder how realistic this is. And if a bulb really lasted 6,500 hours, for example, would the brightness be very low by then?

@chrisduncan3943 I highly recommend th-cam.com/video/0KBpZmaOQmE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LcMmfwjAafjDIMHh video . I will make a video about this topic hepefully soon. But short answer as a viewsonic example is if you have around 3800 lüme s projector super eco mode is like 500-800 lümens that means when you want to use them longer you are using them like low Priced LED projectors brightness level? Digital zoom will lose some of your resolution dif you can accept it no problem.if you are not going to fall a sleep you can use ikea table for bed I will send you video example

Stay away from S30Max I reviewed it in detail th-cam.com/video/kD0C3ul8oik/w-d-xo.html
Look for Wanbo T2Max New or T4 (you can watch the review)
      th-cam.com/video/oKrKPy370ww/w-d-xo.html
There are other brands but price is similar to wanbo and specwise it's price/performance is good. if you wonder alternatives you can just ask
