Nice one mate! I've got an old tf and always thought it would be awesome to do something like this. I like that the Rodeos aren't as main stream, they're great little busses!
Love the method for removing the body off the chassis 😅 Great work, it's going to be excellent once it's done. Fancy all the mods being able to be engineered! Amazing.
@@jamestyrrell4179 so, what qualifications do you have to do this work. boilermaker, mechanic. ??..plus, how much they ripping you off to do this sht..our laws are fkt..
@@jamestyrrell4179 why dont you use johny joints.. ie, rose joints.. if your going to all that bs trouble not fixing the problems it has..maybe watch u.s. vids.. your way off..just cobling together some bs that doesnt make any difference anyhoo.. horizontal bushes are bs garbage..wake up.. but i cant use anything else,,the engineer said.. yes,,because he knows FK ALL..
Mate this is awesome! love to see something different done. I have a rodeo myself, pretty much stock besides a lift an some camping amenities. Has been a great car to be honest. Cant wait to see what someone with some mechanical ability & patients can do with one. Cheers for the videos, ill be keeping an eye on the build.
These build vids are great bud. An average Aussie bloke doing it all himself. Something most of us can relate to. Was this 4 link kit a universal kit? Would love to do this to my cruiser when it comes off the road for a birthday. Keep it up mate. Great channel 👍
Hi 5 your camera person, loving the new angles! Did you go with Chad in Mt Barker as your engineer? So excited for this build! All the best from Switzerland!
Very exciting build, mate. Entertaining way of pulling the body off. Do the rodeo and wagon share similar chassis. Can't just coil the rodeo chassis? Either way great project 👍
They're very similar at three front and till behind the torsion bar. (About where the rear doors start) then they change massively. I still might just coil the rodeo chassis as it actually seems easier to do the 4 link on that chassis than the jackaroo one. Just means it'll be parked in the shed for abit
@jamestyrrell4179 maybe front half rodeo and the rear half the wagon and cut it a little longer to compensate the extension. The wagon rear looks beefier than rodeo rear chassis (I had one of these rodeos on the farm), which may make only one join instead of two joins per rail if you stretch it. No doubt you find the best way.
Ok, I wish it was closer to QLD. I'd like it. I've got a 3.0 Holden Jackaroo without a motor with immaculate body. It's auto and I'm looking for a V6 conversion for it.
You earned my subscription because you are someone doing something different other than a patrol or land cruiser and spending thousands of $$ on it
That's mate! Really appreciate it
Finally a youtuber building something different and unique 🙌..got my attention 👌
Don’t you hate it when TH-camrs just send their builds off and are like look at this ain’t it sick. God I can’t stand that.

More to that its same patrol or 79 shit or something with a barra swap🥱🥱
@@modifieddiesels2721aka every 79 dualcab
100 percent agree not just another bucket ls/barra swap
Mate, wishing I was closer. I'd have grabbed a few parts off from you. Great content.

Thanks mate! Yes they are awesome cars for the price of them. Very underrated
Ah man, exactly what I wanted to do to mine. Unfortunately had to sell it before I could realise that dream. Will be keen to see this done. Good work
Bet your engineer has total confidence after watching this......
Haha will have to compete with mine when I get to it
Love the videos mate someone needed to do vids like these up the tfs 💪🏽

Thanks mate! Much appreciated. Yea a universal kit. I just bought the mounts I needed but then have to do the rest myself
Ayyye 🎉🎉
Fuck yeah something different and from WA too
Have had the idea of doing the 2wd space cab onto a jackaroo chassis for a bit, now it seems like it might work. Keen to see how the build goes!
They will drop straight on.

No I'm going with Packard Automotive in Perth
I’m doing up a Rodeo tf! I’m stuck with brake proportioning valve
Used a mates backhoe to lift mine off!
Gotta get creative sometimes haha
Cannot beat benji's rampt gear 💪💪
Seen the conference giving me the conference to do it to My 1993 rodeo its petrol 4wd 😢

@@79series yea ill figure it out. but the jackaroo rear isnt to 4 link friendly with a crossmember in the way so ill have to sort it out
Selling that bullbar off the jackaroo by chance mate?
Yea sure am. Message me on instagram or messenger. J.tyrr3ll for insta and James Tyrrell for messenger
what ramped customs kit is that interested in doing something like that
@baxterbmx1521 it's not a kit. I just used rampts universal mounts and making them fit on my car
@jamestyrrell4179 ok thanks
What happened with the motor from the Jackaroo?
I have no idea. I bought it without a key or no idea if it runs or not

Is this a disel motor u have
Yes
Is there a reason you used a 4jx1 Jackaroo
Only because the gearbox that's bolted to the 4jx1 bolts to the 4jb1
I have a Rodeo
Poor jackaroo I support the build but what a waste of a body
Can i have a list of ehat u did pls would love to do it to my ute
