    The plants, the animals, the mountains, the people, I love Tasmania! That video was awesome. The "Tasmania Travel Association" (or whatever it's called) should pay you guys for making these videos. Thanks for another great video.

      Running Into Myself - you're too kind 👶 - but if Tourism Tasmania would like to give us some support, I wouldn't mind too much 😀

      Eish... you guys' videos are quite the distraction! Very easy to procrastinate with life/work with so many epic videos to catch up.

      Ed Curl Thanks Ed!! Glad you like the videos - it was a beautiful day up in the mountains - I was so lucky that there were so few people out and about so I pretty much had the mountain myself.

      Tim Squire - Thanks Tim!! I had another trip out to Mt Field on some "unfinished business" that I had up there (video coming this Friday) - not sure what's planned yet for this weekend. How's your running going?

      kofuzi - thanks very much 🙏 it certainly is a special place. Unfortunately the weather turned pretty desperate after this day, so we only got the one run in - I drew the long straw and Nord got child-minding 😀

    OH MY GOD WOMBATS ARE THE CUTEST THINGS EVER!! Will they let you cuddle them?
    Seriously guys - I LOVE your videos so much! My plan for 2018 is to sell up, travel and move to Australia but on the way I'm going to have to stop in Tasmania and do some of these trails because I'm just obsessed!

    • @FloNoTrail
      @FloNoTrail  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Take Heart - Aren't they just! - you'd have to be pretty strong to lift them up and pretty fast to catch them. They're quicker than they look and have got a pouch like a kangaroo that faces backwards because their tummy hangs down so low to the ground. - You'd mentioned coming to Aus a while ago - is that really happening? If you make it to Tassie, let us know.

      FloNo Trail Weeelll since I commented like a week ago everything's turned upside down a bit! I'm changing my job earlier than planned which means I can't really leave in 2018 now . .. Or I could. I don't know - AAHHH! When I figure it out I'll let you know lol!! Xx

      Take Heart - damn jobs!! Who needs 'em? Sounds like a confusing time, but maybe an exciting one as well. I reckon you'll still make it to Australia yet. All the best xx

    one of my favorites you have produced!!. capturing the wildlife, tour, epic shots and narration. very well done. so wish it was like that here in Ohio, but cloudy, grey, flat and 30-40° F is par for the course about now. great job, videos are really improving. from the opening, to time lapse etc, I can tell your filming / editing skills are growing

      Thanks APC!! Again, we were so lucky with the weather - it's often not like this. The day after was wickedly windy and it drizzled all day, so Nord had to put off his attempt at Barn Bluff. Boo! Some days, though, it's so hot, we find ourselves wishing for winter again.

    good running, you guys cover a lot of ground on your runs. I'd be worried going bare foot in the water with snakes about (can they swim?!), not many snakes here in Wales. The wombat is cool though :)

    • @FloNoTrail
      @FloNoTrail  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tobs - hey Tobs. In the water you're pretty safe - its mostly on paths under overhanging bushes, sunning selves on rocks and that sort of thing. I'm not sure if they can swim? In England, I've come across a couple of snakes (on the South West Way for example) - viper, adder? Do you get these in Wales? We spent quite a few weeks, riding through Wales, and loved it, Brecon Beacons etc. Beautiful.

    • @Tobs_
      @Tobs_ 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      mostly Adders but rare to see one in England or Wales I think, unless seeking them. I often run in the Brecon Beacons, beautiful and the weather can change very quickly there, lots of old remote trails too :)

      Tobs - yes, we really enjoyed our time in Wales. And experienced first hand the changeable weather 😁

    Hey Flo! We’re visiting from Portland Oregon and I was wondering about how long this run took. Any idea of the shortest route (by time) you think to do the loop from Dove Lake to Cradle and then back around the other side? I am here with my wife and kids so don’t want to strand them without the car for too long. Thanks!

    • @FloNoTrail
      @FloNoTrail  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nathan Sustersic - you’re in for a treat!! Nord did the route the day before and managed to get back in time for breakfast at the lodge, he went up the horse track (but the overland is still good - Maybe just busier if you’re not starting early.) The horse track takes you over the top of crater lake whereas the overland leads you past the lake itself. From there it’s straight on to Cradle Summit. The loop back down via Hanson’s peak is maybe just as quick as down through Lake Wilks. You could start at Dove Lake itself which would cut some time off but I’d start from Waldheim, as much is runnable. All the best Flo & Nord

      Just spent 2 full weeks hiking in Tasmania! Plenty of scenery even in your winter. I enjoyed your video. You were all over the place in one day. 20 - 25 kilometers? Good on ya! Here's my video I created hope you like it, if you watch. th-cam.com/video/C3kN0NUOvf0/w-d-xo.html
