- This video shows how to start up Sol'Ex, the "Solar Explorer", in a minimum of time and effort. It shows how to operate this solar observation instrument from the finderscope of your telescope. You may not have to disassemble anything to get started!
The set also forms a small equipment that you can easily use on a travel mount, which is very convenient.
Examples of uses are presented as well as the way to perform very simple processing from the INTI software.

Excellent! I ordered my Sol'Ex... I can hardly wait until it arrives.
Thank you for the very clear video. I learned a lot. Now I'm almost ready to put my Sol'Ex into operation
And got an image (well, not a great one) on my first try!!!
Merci pour les explications supplémentaires.
Why the filter in front of the Finder Scope is necessary. I thought it has to be mount before the Sol-Ex between focuser and Sol-Ex ... and how do you fix the finder scope respectiv to the dec axis if it's mount on the scope?
This is simply Genius!
It is not a 178 millimeter camera, but a camera with an IMX178 CMOS monochrome sensor, so the first M is the M in CMOS and the second one is from monochrome. Color cameras are called MC. CCD cameras would be called CM or CC, but ZWO does not make them. Btw, millimeter has "mm" as symbol and yes, officially that's a symbol, not an abbreviation.
Are there CAD files available for the "interface" for the neutral density filter shown at ~3:16. I'm planning to use a 32mm William Optics guide scope. Thanks!
My son and I are starting to upgrade to A Sol'Ex. Just one question. I am designing my own adapted parts for our setup. What type of printing process is used on the Sol'Ex body and parts?
Buuut… can I use it also on large telescopes? E.g. I have a 10” dobsonian telescope. Could I use it with that?
Yes but you would not see the full disk and it would be useful for observing small details, make sure you know how to connect the two devices first
Fanastic.
Fantastic.
Congratulations for the almost HIFI audio, excellent for the presentation of a new product..............👎
