I'm gonna try from ground zero on HCL online (HCNL online player here) with Amazon-Strafe/Guided (my main and beloved build) for sure! I would like to take one "lightening" option: Gonna pick up charms and runes but rest are vendor/quest items only.

Could see throw barb being pretty good at this because of leap, high health pool and natural resistances and considering how easily you can get insane spears from gambling with 300%+ physical.
That's already essentially how you play a ssf barb, just stand at the gambler for ages.
I considered it. But the original video already did a barb so I went with something else. Good call though :)

Great content ! On the players 8 issue I find it shocking how few D2 players actually play single player ! To me it’s the most rewarding way to play. I did run a few characters through hardcore for the challenge, but using players 8 to fast level in early normal and majority of nightmare is a must! I only adjust players count in hell during end game farming when my characters are fully geared. Most people don’t even know about player count adjust or consistent maps because they’ve literally never done single player which is sad imo!

Just take it slow. Go back a bit and farm gold/levels and just gamble gear

Ah. Yeah playing hardcore is a bit different than sc. You really don't need to change much but you've gotta get good at knowing when you can and can't go for it. Just keep dying is the best way to learn I'm afraid

Can you some day rerun throw barb. Last time you switched to ww barb very early. Thats one of the funiest char. Tip: you can craft decent throw wep easily

An Idea for the next vid. Hardcore gamble only from 0 to ubers. Get +goldfind items first to grind big money and try to catch some epic rares or even some uniques from hazard :D
I would love to do it up to Baal. But I don't think it can do ubers. Those need a bunch of very specific stats
It might be close to imbossible withouy any runeword but it's a big challange. Anyway you can try and check if it's possible, you would do a classic hell run anyway ;)
It should be possible if you gamble a weapon with open wounds or monsters cant heal.
You can buy a wand with life tap.
Personally, I would do an exception to use runes on weapons (no rw, still you would need to drop um rune)

Why didn't you buy a wand with lower res charges? Other suggestions: use mind blast and cloak of shadow more often, use shock web on top of the traps (build is 20 to fire blast, shock web, charged bolt, lighting web, 1 death sentry, don't put any points in warrior nor master), use charged bolt on bosses, lower res wand on swap.
I don't enjoy using a lower res wand.
My build is whatever I want it to be :)

Interesting run, but why didn't you use Cloak of Shadows to do crowd control? That one spell could have made your run a great deal easier.

You should do a run using only unique items you can find or gamble in normal Inc runes. You can upgrade throughout but you have to go melee. 😂
Sounds fun but I'm definitely going to work my way up with unique only first haha. Norm only unique only is crazy hard I legit don't know if I could pull it off

I've suggested a challenge run before to other players but none have done it. It was a skills only from gear and charms. No skill points put into the skill tree. I made it to Diablo on Normal but couldn't kill him.
If you're up for it give it a try.
Maybe with a shared stash that could be fun but it doesn't sound great to be honest.
@@thenuclearrabbit yeah just me getting to Diablo on Normal was rough. When I suggested it to MrLlama in his Discord he said it would take forever to do.
Take down Diablo with a bow socketed with emeralds or tals. You can dodge, damage him and stop him from healing. Throw in an item or charm that does cold damage and you'll even slow him too.
Now... do this on a non-warcry barbarian... I'll be incredibly impressed.
I might go for that at some point. :)

Haha. The Assassin has a bunch of really cool skills that I always just forget about. I'm just very used to spacing out area's with my traps and kiting around.

You mean picking something up from the ground selling it to the merchant and then buying it again? That would beat the whole point of the run

so in theory, i could grind the lvl 1 chest, and gamble deaths sash and glvoes that way and be settled for the rest of the game in those 2 slots x)

Great video! Although if I could provide one piece of constructive criticism, slow down! Sometimes you talk fast or show things on screen without building the suspense like when gambling gear. We want to soak everything in! I know the average attention span is basically non existent, but I feel that you would garner more audience investment with a bit of suspense!

Your assumption on attention span is correct. I noticed that the faster I went the more people kept watching so I kept speeding up. I have hit the point of too fast now so now it's time to slow down again :)

Depends on the build. But yeah a summoner might be too easy. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up trying it with every class cause this was a lot of fun
