Thank You, Father for this minister and the Truth that he preaches! I so identify with this! Since 1/20/68 I have believed and no one can talk me out of it! To God be the glory!
I mean this question respectfully/inquisitively, not to be argumentative against what Dan said. Dan was mentioning people leaving their churches. Is it not appropriate to leave a church when the church leader starts preaching in a way that goes against scripture? I understand not leaving over being hurt by the body of the church, I am not sure I understand if that is suppose to include your pastor turning from teaching the word and instead teaching their worldly, non-scriptural opinions of things. Putting worldly things on a pedestal as being equal to God. Thank you for your time, if I get a response.
I’ve listened to a lot of Dan’s stuff, but it’s tough to know what he’d think since I’ve never met him. Based on what I’ve heard from him though, I don’t think he’d hesitate to lovingly speak the truth to the leadership whether they knew him or not. Of course there are some people that are not going to listen, but your church leader is just another person. Even if he doesn’t listen, it’s a seed sown. God brings the increase. Have you talked to the church leader or any other leadership about it?
This is a great question. I've been living abroad and have gone to several churches- all that seem to focus on the Western-corporate style of getting blessing, going to heaven, etc. I've talked to leaders and bible study groups and feel I've planted seeds, but never do I really feel like we are gathering to "stir one another in love and good works". I then often question why I even go when it feels like we are not even believing the same basic principles about being Christ-like. I mean, as Dan and the gospel says, we don't forsake gathering among believers... but what if we can't find a group of believers who understand or are willing to accept the gospel message, and cling to the brainwashing we've been taught in western Christianity as a religion?

Or… you stay and go to your brother in private and win them over… since that’s what we’re told to do??
