To start buying a house, here are things you needs to do.
First, save this video, you may need it later if you are not ready today. And second, you can book a call to get the process started here: BOOK A CALL with Desiree: bit.ly/meetwit...
Here are your top tips to get startted:
Start with going online to decide what style home you want and where you want the home to be. Ask yourself: What cities interest me the most, what developments interest me, what are the schools in the area (if this is important to you), and definitely ask yourself, if you travel to work, what would the commute look like?
If you're buying cash, make sure to have your bank statement ready to prove you can purchase cash and make sure it includes any potential closing costs.
If you're financing, locate a lender to have a pre-approval letter on hand. The lender will need to check your credit, your income, and your liabilities to formulate a pre-approval offer.
You cannot go shopping for a home without evidence of your finances. It would be a waste of time for you and your agent.
Are you purchasing a condo or a single family home? Make sure your lender advises you of the potential difference in financing. Contact me for specifics on condos because the condo financing in South Florida is different than other area.
Choose your real estate professional and be prepared to pay them their fee. Sellers may choose to not pay your agent for their services, so being prepared is required. You will have to sign a binding agreement with your agent to agree on compensation. AND, if the seller agrees to pay that on your behalf, then great!
Find a home inspector you would feel comfortable with inspecting the home. You want to know what the condition of the home is when you find one.
And, find a title company or attorney to handle the closing documents for the sale.
More things to consider: When do you need to move by? What is the time frame to buy? Do you need to sell a home first? Or do you need to sell and buy simultaneously?
Let me know what I can do to make the move to Fort Lauderdale, or the rest of Broward County, Palm Beach, or Miami much easier for you.
