Hull speed. It's like making a fishing kayak (Pro Angler) faster by adding power and not changing the shape of the hull. You just push more water. Maybe try the optional plastic intake with the scoop in the grill. You could trim the hull up on plane and the scoop would still direct water to the impeller. Currently, it just gets air in the jet when it gets on plane.
Yea I didn't adjust the trim in that run. I did the second time. The trim tab link broke the first time out so I don't have much adjustment because it lost some threads. I just got a new set yesterday so I can finally replace it. Next step is make my own. The second run I adjusted the jet nozzle.
No I don't. I went with this one because someone I know had it brand new and had no use for it. And the Dynamite 120 has a higher amp burst rating then the firma. I don't use the telemetry often. Especially in a boat. And I added a 10,000uF cap pack to help with being on and off the throttle so much because it's a jet boat.
@@ralphhondaman thanks so much for that though forgive me for asking when some of this new to me, I'm guessing the cap pack boosts the initial output / surge though doesn't it come with some capacitors fitted or do you add / make them bigger
@TheS4jordan it's helps with ripple voltage. I put them on to take some of the load off the esc. Can help them run cooler. It won't make it any faster. It helps with that instant voltage it wants when you punch it. On ebay I look up Atomic cap packs. And there is a guy with a store and a nice selection. You don't always need them but I like the little security knowing it can help the esc. And it's no problem. I don't mind answering questions. I try to help in any way or I may even learn a thing or two from someone.
@@ralphhondaman really appreciate you explaining that, guessed as much on the boost / punching it, hadn't thought about ripple voltage, makes a lot of sense
Love to see an update and all the things you changed and why
I'll be making some more videos soon. I just finished an area to make videos in. It's winter here but I have a few boats to put some parts on.

A lot of it was my fault by not adjusting the trim. One of the rods got bent so I didn't want to make adjustments till I got the new ones.
thats awesome
Nice

Heh Modified RC notice you are using the Dynimite ESC do you still get any of the telemetry back to your rugged
