Jason, when I crank the boat on the trailer I do so until the bow eye is tight to the bottom of the roller. My boat can't slide any further even during a hard stop. Could you simply bring your boat up further while loading? Just curious.
I crank my boat up as far as I can...I even stand on the handle to get the last click. And yet the boat always seems to slide forward a little when I brake.

Curious how you have your boat buckles attached to your trailer?? Is that a better location to mount the boat buckles?
This is how/where Shorelander mounts them. I didn't change the factory location.
They are bolted through the frame rail.
