Just finished watching this show and it was amazing. Just incredible. The artwork, the storyline, the conflicting points of view... just beautiful. Loved it.
Joe Kisaragi It's not underrated as matter a fact it's even more popular and gets better ratings than F/SN UBW outside of Japan. I disagree with your opinion on it being better but that's probably because I read the F/SN Visual novel.
Fate Zero was a great prequel that enhanced it's predecessor. I don't know why people try to put a wedge between them, they're part of the same story with many of the same characters. Both are great respectively.
Imagine you're in 2011 and watching this Teaser for the first time. Among all the fate series animes . Fate zero is the best , characters , animation, action, music, emotions , protagonist, and the fact fate zero is seinen while other fate series animes are Shounen. Says everything.

I recommend saving 3 for last since it has a happy ending. Also, don't watch Fate/Zero first. It actually spoiles the biggest plot twist in the series for Heaven's Feel) Then you can watch the spin offs in any order, like Fate/Apocrypha, etc. Hope this helps

The 2006 anime is not that bad. As an adaptation, it might not be 100%, but I really enjoyed it, more so than the Unlimited Blade Works anime from a story standpoint.
I saw SAO until chapter 18 in 2 days, after that, I see this, and it's - maybe - better. First season is an introduction with some great points, but the second season it's AWESOME.

From all the fate that i have watched so far this one was the best in my opinion it had everything that i could ask for, the only complain its that i would wish that had more episodes, but i think that it had what needed to the story no more or less just the right the amount.

Have you even read the visual novel? Unless Ufotable end up adapting all 3 diffferent routes induvidually you will be missing out from not reading it, as it's amazing.

Yes, it's the 4th war, the one 10 years prior to F/SN. It's on my top 5 anime list, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes F/SN, but know that it's darker then it's predecessor, at least the anime, HF route in the visual novel was kinda dark too though.
Okay, after watching the trailer and the 1st episode dubbed,hereare my thoughts Kirei,Kiritsugu,Tohsaka- They are all equally good to the sub no complaints Iri- Meh I dont really care for her dub voice Waver- Eh. Rin+Sakura- Their okay, I guess Their voices sound uninspired Kariya+evil dad- They both sound pretty good. Rider- He sounds GREAT Saber- I'm probably gonna get hated for this, but I really don't like her voice. Everyone else- Pretty good Overall- Good dub, I just prefer sub a bit more

This anime is just outstanding. The characters are amazing, the story is brilliant, and the animation is beautiful. Pretty much sums up what John replied to you. You'll regret it if you do not give it a try.

Just finished watching it and wasn't too impressed. The beginning of the series sucks, the middle picks up a little and becomes kinda interesting. Then, like a lot of Anime, the end just dropped off and sucked ass. Like they got lazy with the writing or something. It does not end well at all.
I got the berserker tattoo for Lancelot originally, but I vote Vlad the Impaler next berserker, and can we add Joan of Arc. or her possible son from her possible undoing being locked up as I think they destroyed her Chasity, I have my doubts she was the only living being to perish on that pyre, and if so they surely have life regrets! and we could add Josiah Molay as the leader of the templar knights who cursed everyone as he burned... he would be a perfect fit to replace Saber honestly, I bet he as a fighter for the holy grail would put up one hell of a fight!

It deppends on you. If you watch FSN first you will know how FZ ends but you will feel more nostagic and you will understand it better. If you prefer the surprise feeling and you don't want to know what happens next before seeing the next episode, watch FZ first
I really hope we'll see more of this series, and the Holy Grail War. The concept of heroic spirits fighting each other is just too awesome to pass up. Think about it. We could see... Romulus vs. Ramesses II Rasputin vs. Davy Crockett Beowulf vs. Quetzalcoatl I can dream.
Jim Brody Gilgamesh was still born a mortal and can die. Remember the Grail summons entities from the Throne of Heroes. Which is essentially a Heaven for DEAD legendary heroes. Gods are immortal (Except for the Norse ones, which given if Fate/Kalied is canon is summonable) which means they aren't in the Throne of Heroes. Plus gods tend to be...unpredictable..if you know mythology, and I highly doubt mere Command Seals, can control beings who pretty much make volcanoes explode just by getting angry.
mstrblik True but they were mortal once. The Throne of Heroes take a "snap-shot" of their souls when they die, hence why Hercules is summon-able. Buddha and Karna were all mortal men once in there lifetime. Jesus Christ MIGHT count, but that would be a lot of controversy.

This has a different writer than other Fate Series, the writer of this wrote Madoka Magica and Psychopass S1 after writing the novel on this.

simple, Fate/Zero was originally a group of Light Novels written by Gen Urobuchi (most famous for his PMMM series) for the type-moon franchise.

I got the berserker tattoo for Lancelot originally, but I vote Vlad the Impaler next berserker, and can we add Joan of Arc. or her possible son from her possible undoing being locked up as I think they destroyed her Chasity, I have my doubts she was the only living being to perish on that pyre, and if so they surely have life regrets! and we could add Josiah Molay as the leader of the templar knights who cursed everyone as he burned... he would be a perfect fit to replace Saber honestly, I bet he as a fighter for the holy grail would put up one hell of a fight!

Jim Brody Gilgamesh was still born a mortal and can die. Remember the Grail summons entities from the Throne of Heroes. Which is essentially a Heaven for DEAD legendary heroes. Gods are immortal (Except for the Norse ones, which given if Fate/Kalied is canon is summonable) which means they aren't in the Throne of Heroes. Plus gods tend to be...unpredictable..if you know mythology, and I highly doubt mere Command Seals, can control beings who pretty much make volcanoes explode just by getting angry.
mstrblik True but they were mortal once. The Throne of Heroes take a "snap-shot" of their souls when they die, hence why Hercules is summon-able. Buddha and Karna were all mortal men once in there lifetime. Jesus Christ MIGHT count, but that would be a lot of controversy.
