If you know a cosmetologist friend, you can get 30 or 40 volume peroxide. It comes in a cream that you will not have to add flour to. You can also get powdered hair bleach to add to the peroxide if you are trying to whiten white clothing or light colored tile or other items. I have used this method on white shirts and t-shirts.

I used to use it to test for ear infections. if I had an ear ache, I'd put peroxide in the sore ear. If it bubbled a little bit but mostly stayed liquid, it was fine. if I poured it in the sore ear and it became pure foam, it was usually a severe infection that needed to be seen by a doctor ASAP. Never failed me. I had constant ear aches as a child and having a way to test whether or not my dad needed to take off work was nice so that we didn't go there only to be told that there was severe fluid build up but nothing they could do. The only problem was that fluid build up would cause an infection later on down the road but knowing the difference between on its way to becoming infected and actually infected helped so that we didn't waste the trip. I had so many ear and tonsil infections as a kid that my tonsils are now permanently enlarged and it's been recommended that I get them removed as it can actually mess up my throat and suffocate me as my body changes when I get older.

Peroxide is great for almost anything. The one where you put it in you're ears for a cold is strange. To clean you're ears fine, but a cold. I never heard of it. Whenever I see a movie when they use bleach to clean up blood after killing someone always made no sense. Or even cleaning the toilet. Most Mom's know this. I can never get bad stains out with bleach. But when cleaning the toilet make the paste with the peroxide. If you just spray, as soon as it dries it stops working. I would be afraid to put it on the rug. I find the best thing for rugs is glass cleaner, I even put it in my bissel rug cleaner. You don't have to use name brand like windex, store brand is fine.? If you use peroxide for pimples it's great, the best is to steam you're face put the peroxide on with a paper towel leave it on till it dries then rince with cold water. I'll also use neosporin (sp?) After you rince and dry your face. It sounds crazy, but I treat a pimple like an infected cut. Sorry this is so long, but that stuff is so great, I think of new things all the time.

DO NOT PUT THIS IN YOUR EARS!!! It is way too caustic. I have done this my whole life and am now in need of a hearing aid. I didn't learn it was scarring the delicate tissues in my ear until it was too late.

Hydrogen peroxide can dry out the eardrum. This can lead to a cracked eardrum. I was told by my doctor to put a drop of oil in each ear to avoid it drying out.

Was using it to dry up acne in the 9's as well, Just soaked a cotton ball and washed my face with it. and went on about my day.

Peroxide is great for almost anything. The one where you put it in you're ears for a cold is strange. To clean you're ears fine, but a cold. I never heard of it. Whenever I see a movie when they use bleach to clean up blood after killing someone always made no sense. Or even cleaning the toilet. Most Mom's know this. I can never get bad stains out with bleach. But when cleaning the toilet make the paste with the peroxide. If you just spray, as soon as it dries it stops working. I would be afraid to put it on the rug. I find the best thing for rugs is glass cleaner, I even put it in my bissel rug cleaner. You don't have to use name brand like windex, store brand is fine.? If you use peroxide for pimples it's great, the best is to steam you're face put the peroxide on with a paper towel leave it on till it dries then rince with cold water. I'll also use neosporin (sp?) After you rince and dry your face. It sounds crazy, but I treat a pimple like an infected cut. Sorry this is so long, but that stuff is so great, I think of new things all the time.

Most clinics and hospitals use 1/2 distilled water and 1/2 oral peroxide.
Swallowing small amounts of peroxide won't hurt you. It'll just make you vomit. Same does with pets. Equal parts water and peroxide *in a small amount* is a great way to get your pet to commit if they eat chocolate or something that can hurt them

Yup I brush my teeth every night with peroxide. I use to get abscesses a lot but for the last 15 years not one because of the peroxide.

When giving "recipes" of mixing and preparing solutions of HP with other liquids etc its vital to state what the strenght of hydrogen peroxide is used (2% ? 3%? etc) !!??? otherwise the advice is pointless and useless :(

I'm a RN also, work in Emergency Room and hydrogen peroxide is no longer used to clean ANY wounds because it kills all of the cells, good and bad. It literally eats your flesh.
