This is a far cry from how I've been playing Anomaly - or any other Stalker game for that matter. I pretty much take 2 steps forward, come running back, trying to re-stock on everything and try again - Drewski pretty much just YOLOs it.

Everyone here talking about going through red forrest with no gear, i'm just sitting here amazed that he went to arena without equipping his arena kits only using the bare weapon that he found in his hands... Drewski, you had armor the entire time in your eq, they give you different kits but as the round starts you need to put armor and weapon attachments manually on you.
I've been trying the complete mod as a training exercise for this. Jumped in to test it out and got killed by a trio of mutated lynx's. Yup, those cats. I love seeing youtubers shed some light on this mod. I must have at least 1000 hours on anomaly, after about 200 hours of playing It turns into a sandbox and just sucks you in. Nothing compares to the immersion I get from playing this mod, download right now if u haven't!

Oh also zombies with guns yes you can definitely loot like normal, the usual ones have a bit of money and medkits on occasion 3. yeah echo detectors don't detect anomalies, you have to eyeball them until you buy/craft/loot the best detector in the game, which will take a long while also still in tears laughing from you telling the nicest lady in the game to go die then wonder why she blasts your ass XD

Looking forward to STALKER 2 but the fact it's coming to consoles makes me feel we're going to get a small, console-focused shadow of what STALKER is, to appeal to the "mass audience".
It looks like it will be more like metro , its gonna suck for long time fans just because its not gonna have the mods , most of us have gone misery , com , last day , dead air , anomaly and god knows how many mods for 3 vanilla games . Its not gonna have all the inventory items we are now used to .

I downloaded anomaly last month. Ever since then I can’t stop playing it. I never played stalker and I didn’t know what I was missing. I may play the originals, but anomaly has so much good changes going for it it’ll be hard to go back. Game is tense and most of the time need like a 5min breather before continuing, but it got me like no other game in a good while.
I've been in the zone for such a long time that most of the NPC's are dead... mainly because of battles with other factions, mutant attacks, emissions etc. Place feels empty, the only ones that keep popping out are Monolith and Military but they aren't fun to hang around with. So, why don't they add a option that with a click of a button all NPC's will be revived? No I don't want to start a new game and loose my 3 million filled wallet 🤑
Go to the settings, turn off the offline fights option(should sound like this, i dont remember the exact name and set the spawn rate for NPC at the max
The funny thing about Stalker holding up incredibly well visually is, the map files have been untouched in all those years. The original team went to the Chernobyl area and recreated it 'authentically'. If you look around for pictures online today (with all the tours to Pripyat these days) you'll find a lot of objects and details present in Stalker. I was so impressed when I found the building that inspired the 'Grain Elevator' in Cordon. One really underappreciated extra detail is the early use of displacement maps. Bricks seem to actually stick out of the walls, giving the environment that little extra bit of depth. It often doesn't work that well around corners, but for the time it was incredible and still holds up decently.
For the record I liked this Single player action! I usually would just let others say it for me but, I really liked the video. I hope to see more but if not that's fine because any content ya push out is high quality! Hope to see you more in the zone stalker.

Imagine a Stalker Anomaly mod on Stalker 2
The realism, the details

And EFT is gonna get Sparta Kicked
Max_Orthodox 1204 see, im really hoping that the devs and executives saw anomaly and are adding all that into the base STALKER 2 game. Imagine if there was no need for an anomaly mod because everything included in that mod is in the base game. Im pretty sure they also said its gonna be a true seamless open world so its even better than anomaly in that aspect. But assuming they arnt, a STALKER 2 anomaly mod would look and be so damn amazing. Would blow EFT out the water
@@SirPhoenixofSoCal during the early development, they did ask the community about their favorite stalker mods so there is hope
@@SirPhoenixofSoCal I didn't see notifications,. But I'm hoping too, though it seems they're going vanilla like the 3 games, but I would love to see an Anomaly style mod
With more features and such, since Stalker 2 will use Unreal Engine 5 I think
And it's definitely gonna destroy EFT, also surely there will be submods to make it closer to Tarkov
And also I bet Multiplayer would have a Tarkov style mode (multiplayer kind of sucked in the 3 games due to the awful netcode, so I hope multiplayer would be alot more improved)
@@7H3PH3N0M3N oh that's awesome
I just got the mod it’s by far my favourite stalker mod ever I ended up installing lots of addons and it’s been just a blast!
Such a top tier mod.
5:31: dialog choice “Give me this tourist’s details or you’re dead.” Right, most women will not give you a kiss if you tell her that!! LOL Helps to read through all the dialog choices before just clicking one blindly, Drewski!
Loving all your videos (just finished the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. GAMMA ones), can’t wait to see more S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 videos.
Here goes round two of watching/listening to this series so far. Keep falling asleep halfway through the video cause Drew's voice is just so calming.
Anomaly is insane! I've recently finished a full playthrough with it, and it was, by far, the best Stalker experience I've ever had!
What's your addons list? I did expedition but it's so damn buggy. I'd like it too look as close to a modern game as possible. Which expedition nailed but... ugh
@@coreliousc8915 I really recommend escape from Pripyat as an amazing modpack, does take some hardware to run though
Stalker Anomaly with mods is an amazing experience.
I would love to imagine this mod with gunslinger.
i think thats most anomaly players wet dream right now, i have seen gunslinger integrated with misery mod, but it's too small imo after playing anomaly's "open world"
you have Boomstick and Sharpsticks than kinda ressemble Gunslinger but smaller
@@Mantheon provak or EFP 2.0 is also good
you could try Blindside's Anomaly Reanimation Pack. I'd say its quality is on par with Gunslinger
@@fatman1899 Hey thanks for the tip, just looked it up, and it looks great! just wish there where more to the unjam and consumable animations
The fact that that Himera was killed by a “Soda” anomaly in 47:19 , makes Drewski extremely lucky. Because let’s be honest, if it was alive, he would’ve been already dead
rewatching the series already because it's seriously one of the best youve put out.
First contact is what got me into your contact; your gameplay for single-player spooky stuff is so top tier
This is a far cry from how I've been playing Anomaly - or any other Stalker game for that matter. I pretty much take 2 steps forward, come running back, trying to re-stock on everything and try again - Drewski pretty much just YOLOs it.
14:02 holy shit, that was savage x) i almost spit out my cola lol.
I clicked and I am not disappointed. Drewski gets +1 Respect
"Give me this tourists details or you're dead!"
/Gets punched
"Why'd she punch me!?"
Hahaha, love the vids man.
Dude I remember when I was younger watching my dad play stalker... this is nostalgic.
I actually did the same
I remember asking my dad to help me out with agroprom tunnels since this shit scared me (possibility of the non-existant there mutants), it was somehow coming through till I got to X18 and was like nope, gotta play it when I get older. I'm 14 years older and still hate this shit.
I'm a huge fan of this series, especially the mods, I played through call of chernobyl but never played anomaly, this looks like that but way better. Unfortunately my PC died and I'm now using a lower spec laptop to get me by so this series is a welcome sight for me. Much love, Drewski
This isnt vanilla tho so if you ran it vanilla you could probably get away with the laptop at a solid 30 with customized settings ik from experience man
you can run the dx8 version and get +40 fps in 720p easily
Watching this absolute madman enter the Red Forest at night armed with a Makarov got my anxiety levels going through the roof 😂 great content!
Man this game looks so nice even if it is old
this is free and u can put addons like broomsticks and sharpsticks
It gets updated the frame its built on is old but the game now is updated so much it can look like anything you want it too
"Is that a bloodsucker sound? Luckily it's night time..." Oh your poor sweet summer child.
Pissing off Hip and being murdered by cats is the canon first playthrough.
Congrats on avoiding the cats.
My buddy gave me stalker in high school. I lost that buddy in 2010 to an ied gonna play this in his memory tonight. A couple beers in
A friend told me about this game a few years ago, so I bought it and never got into playing it. Once I saw this video series I downloaded the mod and started playing. It's just epic and I've only just started.
I like the single player stuff Drewski, keep it coming!
Drew: what did I do to the crazy lady
Me(audience): you said, "give me the tourist details or your dead" 🥲
So if I may proceed your honor, she's right in punching him and trying to kill him 🌝😹😹
The fact he uses the same HK416 setup as me has me more excited for this series. Interested to see if he picks a faction
the best part about this guy is that he managed to make it up to army warehouses with a broken svt and a leather jacket
This man was running around in end-game areas full to the brim with Monolith, chimeras, and bloodsuckers with starting gear and a Makarov and came out unscathed. Absolutely wild RNG.
I demand moar!
This game is amazing, more people need to see it!
this game looks amazing I'm gonna pick it up. I've been looking for a proper survival horror type experience for a while and this looks to scratch that itch and my shooter itch at the same time. looking forward to more content on this from ya buddy keep up the good work
And how did you like it?
Oh my god... I never thought that you were playing Stalker... That video came out of nowhere and i love it!
I recommend you check out the Escape From Pripyat mod.
It takes this game to another level!
Yeah, I just installed it and have a couple hours in. Pretty sure my favorite mod!
I'm going to use this video as a starting point. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has quickly become one of my favorite games. I'd love another single player game where you scavenge for items, weapons and upgrades.
never thought id see you play stalker, im incredibly happy, cheers drewski
I love seeing youtubers shed some light on this mod. I must have at least 1000 hours on anomaly, after about 200 hours of playing It turns into a sandbox and just sucks you in. Nothing compares to the immersion I get from playing this mod, download right now if u haven't!
2 questions. What's the base game? And where is the mod? Bonus question, what mods is this guy running?
@@jackparalax2156 In this episode he is just running base STALKER Anomaly which is a standalone mod based on all 3 games from the STALKER series. You don't need to own the base games to play Anomaly but I do recommend them because they are great games despite being a bit dated. Anomaly is more of a sandbox so I recommend playing the actual games starting with Shadow of Chernobyl if you are interested in the story
Drewski greets the first stalker with "priviet", my first thought: He clearly played too much Tarkov XD
they dont say that at all in tarkov
I think this says more about you than him
I am late to the party but man, I am quickly becoming obsessed with STALKER - playing Clear Skies for the first time atm.. gotta say though 39:39 the light coming through those windows.. beautiful and haunting. And yes I will be binging this entire series now instead of doing work 👍
Watching an English gamer playing this game, having no clue on what to do or how to survive it’s just awesome. Reminds me of my 1st play through keep it up
Great to see you playing some other games drewski, keep up the great work
couple tips for ya mate
1. Most important characters like traders can offer about 3 missions at once, so scoop up the ones you can easily do
2. don't ignore zeds and mutant corpses, there are at least two traders in game who pay buttloads for meat, skins, limbs, everything really. Oh also zombies with guns yes you can definitely loot like normal, the usual ones have a bit of money and medkits on occasion
3. yeah echo detectors don't detect anomalies, you have to eyeball them until you buy/craft/loot the best detector in the game, which will take a long while
also still in tears laughing from you telling the nicest lady in the game to go die then wonder why she blasts your ass XD
I hate hip
@@viljaams literally
Even after over a decade, I regularily come back to the whole trilogy and play it again, vanilla, one of the greatest games ever made
For the story or just being immersed in the Zone? Cus if it's the latter, Anomaly delivers on that ;)
@@lukasgroot Oh I'm playing Anomaly too :D
Vanilla for story and Anomaly for mechanics :)
@@Oroberus good man 😃
I just got into the series a few years back and for myself I just had to play the originals first.
For me there is little point of playing a mod if I don't know what the original is about.
But oh man, Anomaly and it's modpacks still got me hooked after all this time.
I also like the ideas behind the A.R.E.A mod, it's brutal but unfortunately very buggy, check it out if you haven't done so already.
Good hunting.
Hey i wanna get stalker i just don’t know which one to get
@@Purddnocturnal If you have not played ANY stalker so far, get the first one, Stalker: Shadow Chernobyl
It's sort of the mechanically weakest but plotwise best and does the best job of easing you into the lore.
CleaR sky and Call Of Pripyat are way superior, mechanically, feature wise and in regards of QOL but this also makes it harder to play Shadow Of Chernobyl after you played the others.
If you like Shadow Of Chernobyl, then go for Clear sky and afterwards Call of Pripyat and if you played all three of them, go for Anomaly/Gamma :)
I tried the anomaly mod before the main games, and it made me realize I am not the person I thought I was.
Man, I just started playing Clear Sky and seeing some of the features from it is amazing. They really took some things from each different game and made it something new.
I play Stalker since 2007 and I never get bored of playing it or watching ppl play it :D nice video :)
There are a LOT of mods for anomaly that completely revamps the game even more !
oppa blya, drew has finally answered his call to the zone
5:34 that's the Usual reaction women have to me.
" a lot less cluttered Forest" spoken like someone who's never been in a forest. Cluttered could be one of the main words to describe a forest
He was talking in the context of the limitations of the game's engine, not real forests.
Because of your Stalker series im buying my first PC today and i couldnt be more excited/confused on how this all works lol

Hey drew, i enjoy your videos very much and am extremely happy to see you getting into stalker, as it, in my opinion, is one of the best game series ever made. Even though it is pretty old, i would love seeing you play vanilla shadow of chernobyl, as it is the game in the entire series that i enjoyed the most.
>sees Drewski selling drug making kit to random stalker

my god this looks so much better than the original. Someone did a hell of a lot of work on the textures. Now I want to play it again. Can actually see stuff. Amazing.

oh ive been hoping this would happen. Been desperately needing long form atmospheric content from you(like First Contact)
You know you're either a chad or an absolute madman when you go into red forest at night with no headlamp/nighvision, no body armour and an excuse for a gun that is the makarov.
24:54 he really just flinched a shot in a video game? Nice.
I downloaded the game because of you! And I love the game, it's so challenging.
Can’t wait to see more of this content from you. It’s truly an amazing project can’t wait to see what stalker 2 turns out like in April
You finally listened to Boris, I’m proud drew
Looking forward to STALKER 2 but the fact it's coming to consoles makes me feel we're going to get a small, console-focused shadow of what STALKER is, to appeal to the "mass audience".
Have you ever heard of SSD's?
It looks like it will be more like metro , its gonna suck for long time fans just because its not gonna have the mods , most of us have gone misery , com , last day , dead air , anomaly and god knows how many mods for 3 vanilla games . Its not gonna have all the inventory items we are now used to .
I’m afraid it won’t come anytime soon.
I’m afraid that stalker 2 will be too good I won’t play anomaly

Watching Drewski evolve from calling the safety a "toggle" and full autoing an AK with less than a mag full of ammo to being an expert stalker and filming videos with IRL NVGs has been interesting.
"I'll pick this guy cause he's scary" - picks the portrait of Vano, the naive and gullible, nicest stalker in the Zone
"Give me this tourist's details or you're dead" - threatens Hip, the only woman in the Zone with death right off the bat as a rookie with 0 renown or reputation
"Why did she punch me in the face?" - proceeds to make Pikachu face as enfuriated Hip who was just about to offer him a mission decides of getting the pesky rat out instead
*asks about wish granter once and ignores the main quest dialogue about Strelok which starts the first main quest untouched*
*gets out and gets shot by Hip cause he just threatened her with death*
Good start Drewski, good start.
"a grooming kit no thanks i'm not a Minecraft youtuber"
I downloaded anomaly last month. Ever since then I can’t stop playing it. I never played stalker and I didn’t know what I was missing. I may play the originals, but anomaly has so much good changes going for it it’ll be hard to go back. Game is tense and most of the time need like a 5min breather before continuing, but it got me like no other game in a good while.
Its not really “going back” for you since you never played them. And yeah I would go play them if I were you
I really hope you've at least played Shadow of Chernobyl by now
I've been in the zone for such a long time that most of the NPC's are dead... mainly because of battles with other factions, mutant attacks, emissions etc.
Place feels empty, the only ones that keep popping out are Monolith and Military but they aren't fun to hang around with.
So, why don't they add a option that with a click of a button all NPC's will be revived? No I don't want to start a new game and loose my 3 million filled wallet 🤑
Such is the way of the zone
They’re supposed to respawn
Pause the game and F1 F7 debug menu pretty sure you can refresh it in there
I think that dynamic zone options adds more npcs but I am not sure
The maps are stale asf after playing all three stalker games a bunch of mods I just wish someone would make new ones
Nothing I like more than strolling through The Zone with the song "At Dawn" coming through the speakers.
Na Zareeeeeeeeee
The night ending part was by far the most intense, FrankieOnPc stuff immersion.

When I first saw this video I had just built my first gaming pc. I quickly became addicted and ended up with something like 4-500hrs. Revisiting these videos after learning more about the game is an odd form of enjoyable torture 😂
Try Misery mod bro :)
Anomaly actually originated from Call of Chernobyl.
Free look was not in the base game and neither in Call of Chernobyl.
Zombies can have something on them, however you "loot" them by using the knife.
