Parking lot expansion will be overflow (unless they’ve changed their minds) so that they don’t have to park people at Splash and trolley them over on the super busy days.
I heard from a ride op that the attraction refurb is Daredevil Falls. Blazing Fury had a major mechanical in October and rumor is a coupling broke and a train separated
I’d be happy with that too, I personally love Daredevil Falls! Also really unlucky that both Blazing Fury and Big Bear Mountain had major issues this fall if that’s the case. . .
That path in Country Fair, years back there used to be one complete with some Veggie Tales related statues. I’m not sure why it got taken out. This new one however looks like it has a cut back in it, maybe the previous one just wasn’t ADA compliant.
Interesting. Yeah it certainly looks like it will be much more accessible to wheelchairs and the like than even the existing path into Country Fair to the north.
I love this park! Dollywood's sister park, Silver Dollar City, closed their Blazing Fury and re-imagined it in a new location. All signs point to this being true at Dollywood also. That new dark ride behind Big Bear Mountain could be the new Blazing Fury. It just makes sense. You might know something I don't, and that why you didn't mention it, or maybe it was an oversight. Anyway, love your videos. I make the same kind of videos on my channel. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much! Yeah so back at Smoky Mountain Coasterfest 2023 (ACE event), we got to talk with Pete Owens (park Vice President) who told us they weren’t planning on replacing/reimagining Blazing Fury anytime soon. He said that Blazing Fury was in much better condition than Fire in the Hole due to refurb work they’ve been doing over the last few years such as new PLC, removing the water splashdown, etc. that Fire in the Hole didn’t have done to it. This was while he was giving a few teasers for the 2026 dark ride, which is why I don’t think that’s what this is. Also there just isn’t much thematic cohesion between Wildwood Grove and a firefighting themed ride, so while I’m sure it’ll happen eventually, I personally don’t think this is the time or place for it
Heh, that path behind Skyrider WAS a path in the past as recent as 2004. It is hilarious to see how the park's history comes full circle sometimes.
I was there the day before you were lol
Lol. That was probably a better day to go, it was very cold on the 5th 😅
@@CoastingThePlanet I don't know about that lol, only Lightning Rod, Wild Eagle, and Tennessee Tornado were open for coasters on January 4th
