@@georgefreemon2935 I wouldn't say more serious. Rather, i'd say it struck a better balance between humor and tension. Stranger Things 1 was so phenomenal because it never forced any of the aspects. Stranger Things 2 tried to keep the same chemistry, but it fell a bit flat because it tried to be too much like Season 1. Season 3 had too much humor and fell flat for it. Season 4 in my opinion was a return to form. It was serious, yes, but never really had any moments that felt like they were written in specifically to serve as a joke. Sure, you have the odd joke here or there, but it works within the script. The vast majority of jokes never feel forced or out of place.
This brings me back to a simpler time. I think I speak for everyone when I say 2017 was a different time in our lives, and we were in a different place; I miss the old Stranger Things.
I would listen to the S2 soundtrack to stay focused every time I was studying during my master's degree. I can easily say that I graduated thanks to this haha

For me, this is the best track of season 2 and the others are also good tracks and complements, it has something called feeling, I feel that it is the soul of the beginning of the season and at the same time nostalgic, I know there is another track, but This marked the 2nd season in 2017 and it left me marked with my girl, who was then 13 years old and my 9-year-old boy, now in 2024 we wait for the end of the 5th and last season of the wow saga, how did the years, today my 20-year-old girl and my 16-year-old boy in this year 2024. The best years that were with me as a father, today they already decide but we wait for that day and we are not going to sleep to see the end of the saga with ELEVEN, Amen, thanks for everything Milly B. I'm sorry guys, it has to be said... Nothing will top Season 1 and Season 2, and even the phenomenal opus that was Season 3 and it's masterful ending. This was the golden era of Stranger Things, and admittedly, I miss it.
I think either season 1 or season 4 is the best. Honestly I think it will come down to how blatantly predictable the next two episodes of season 4 will be. Like, It's so obvious that either Steve or Eddie will die just based on what they've been saying alone, but hopefully my expectations are subverted and I'm wrong.
imo season 1 is perfection, season 2 is a forgettable retread of 1, season 3 is a bloated but fun adventure, and season 4 is an ambitious but ungodly mess.

It has to be said, but Stranger Things just doesn't hit as hard for me anymore. Stranger Things 1, 2 and 3 are what hit different; maybe it was because I was younger back then, and nostalgia is talking for me, who knows...
For me, it's because the first two seasons were held together by strong emotional cores. Season 1 had the disappearance of Will which sparked most of the storylines. It also had El discovering friends and a life outside of abuse and lab tests, and that was a strong storyline too. Season 2 had the torment and possession of Will throughout, and it was heart wrenching to watch this sweet kid slowly deteriorate over time. It also had El discovering learning about her family and what it means to her, and again that too was a strong storyline. I can't really say Season 3 was held together by a similar emotional core. Billy was a douche, and his possession was just a lesser retread of Season 2, and the whole Mindflayer thing just kinda existed. Its existence didn't cause the kind of constant feeling of dread and torment nearly as much as with Will. Season 4 could have had Max's curse be the center of attention, but it only felt like she was in danger for an episode or two. Seasons 1 and 2 felt driven largely by personal reasons. Season 3 and 4 felt driven by "well, I guess it's our job to stop monsters now."
Sorry, but does anybody know the name of the theme that was running while season2 episode 2 (started when Mike and Will were talking about Eleven, but going on while Jonathan brought drunk Nancy home and into her bed) I really cant find it. thanks B4hand

The Fall Season for Stranger Things helps so much with the mystery and omniety of the show IMO.
