- Hey what’s going on guys, this is AndrewChicken and welcome back to another video! In this one, we’ll be ranking the top 5 strongest flanks in Paladins! The flank class is super strong right now, and almost every flank is really good in the right hands! But, some flanks are still better than others, and the flanks in this video are dominating the meta in Season 6.
As always, this list is just my opinion, so feel free to let me know who you think the best flanks are in the comments section down below!

Who do YOU think are the top 5 best flanks in Paladins? Do you agree with my list, or do you think someone else deserves #1?
EDIT: Why did I not mention VII, considering how I hate him so much? Well, it's simple. Like I said in the honorable mentions, there are so many good flanks to talk about that we could be here for a while. Besides Andro and Zhin, I could've also put Buck, Maeve, VII, and I even considered Skye at one point because of controller players. Evie and Koga bounced in and out of HMs for different reasons as well. So, why do Androxus and Zhin get HMs but VII doesn't? Well, it's simple: consistency.
VII is stupid OP on open maps, which is why I still want him to get changes. However, on closed in maps, VII becomes really awkward. Frozen Guard, Ice Mines, Fish Market and strangely enough Frog Isle all have their quirks that make him feel bad to play on. He's like Buck: situational, but insanely busted in those situations. VII is certainly far less situational than Buck, but more situational than Androxus and Zhin who can be played pretty much anywhere at any time. That's why, when you look at pick rate, those two flanks are the most picked flanks in the game.
So yes, I still hate VII. I think he's busted, and I want a soft rework for him as I've talked about on stream (which I should probably make a video about). But, just because he didn't make it onto the list, doesn't mean he's not strong. Like I said at the start, almost every flank is really strong right now. The only bad flanks right now are Caspian and Moji, and even then Moji can still find value sometimes. It's not like the damage class where half the champions suck XD

@@doctor-z-deadline8500 There's this rumor forming in his fanbase that Andrew knows Vii isn't that good anymore and simply wants the champion nerfed out of a biased hatred for him. Literally look at the comments in the vid so many people are calling him out on it 😭

I have to disagree with you on some things. Caspian with insane terrible gimmick and moji with tank size hit box plus counter-intuitive abilities aside. 30% of the flanks are good while the rest are situational
I like how vii is not even in the honorable mentions. That means your no longer able to complain about him

I really like this list! I enjoyed hearing why each champion is good, and how they're played to deserve a spot in your ranking.
A few things I think could have been included:
- Koga's Adrenaline Junkie stacks with Wrecker, which makes him really desirable into shield tanks.
- Zhin has gotten a lot better recently due to him doing well into console aim assist
i dont think you need aim assist at all with zhin lol
@@GravityApproaching "into" not "with". Zhin does well because enemies with aim assist have a hard time not shooting his counter, and his fat projectiles can hit fast console flanks like Lex and Talus. He does well into strong console DPS like Tyra and Vivian

Ok bro you've been nagging about how Vii is "broken" for months now and the moment its time to make a top 5 the dude isn't even on the list. At this point i feel like you know he isn't that good anymore and just dislike him.

Maeve not being in top 3 is a crime scene, I’m a controller player and I still play Maeve she’s just that good
I just play her because shes cute
She has a high skill ceiling. If you can aim she is god teir but if you like to spray and not capitalize on your knives properly she has issues to the point of being useless. She is the Yasuo of Paladins, really good if you know what you are doing but has no utility or forgiveness if you are awful.
Most other characters have a defensive ability but Maeve either has to kill or run if in a bad situation unlike other flanks who usually have a shield or some defensive layer.
I think Lex is too high on the list. He is easy to predict and the off tank can keep him under control by blocking his way.
I stopped playing about one and a half years ago are there any big changes I have to be aware of before starting again?
Love to see my boy Koga back in the Top 5. However, I play him on KBM and still dominate. You know the build too because you made a video on it. 😉
Paladins is a great game with a lot of depth and versatility. I just started playing it some days ago after thousands of hours Overwatch and despite these games having some core differences, Paladins has a lot more to offer at some things. The customizability of heroes makes this game so rich and the overall gameplay diversity of heroes is way more than in Overwatch. They don't aim to be the same game, Overwatch is faster paced and the aim feels more difficult in OW if you like that more. The strategy in Paladins is way more interesting. I want to keep playing Paladins and try different heroes, unfortunately, the playerbase isn't that big and ranked queue times are very long. Paladins should have way more players for what it is.

I atleast thought Vii would be number 5, do to all the nerfs he got. But i guess Raventrics was right the champion is mid right. Doesn't matter if your the fastest thing in the game if you struggle to kill thing. 😅
Ill be honest i think that buck is a good pick because he can utilize his jump to escape a fight or create one in a matter of seconds but i personally use his leap to back up from a fight and regenerate with his recovery ability, and always to make sure to use his snare shot cause it can turn the tide in a fight with that increase damage when an enemy is hit but i will be honest is that the downside to buck is his semi slow fire rate that makes it hard for him, maybe the rate of fire can be increased alittle, so that is personally why i think buck is a good pick
zhin is still one of the best flanks , easy and very eficcient to use when you understand every hability of him to make suffer your oponnent
he is braindead easy to use but he's not the best at alll

I will say running kogas ammo card that refills on his dash let’s you aggressively dive people a crazy amount

Yes, it does! Koga is a great counter to Moji and Kasumi because he cleanses both their marks.

I am okay with Vatu lacking range, but please, as a avtu main, after hundreds of hours, the fact that he has a reload is the biggest problem I have had with him. This has killed me more times than I want to admit. Also, how fun it is to be in an intense 1v1, use your ult on somebody, stun them, and flick back only to wait for your reload. And how do you even replenish kunai in the first place? Definitely not by giving them a spin.
I play casual matches with opponents around the gold-platinum level. Androxus is the most choking at this level of play. In the hands of a good player, he controls most of the battlefield, while covering allies and pressing opponents at the same time. As long as that bitch is alive, you can't even kill someone at the enemy team without was instantly killed by him. But fortunately there are not so many players of this level.
Who do you think is the best flank to play with high ping?
ive been playing caspian alot - got him to level 50. its got some heft is honestly an underrated busted talent with too much damage and range.

Last year VII and Andro are easily Top 2. Now, both got dropped out from Top 5

Not sure if I'm late to the party but I've been meaning to rely on a flank IF one is needed. I'm a tank and support main but sometimes my main roles get taken from me. Would anyone have a suggestion what flank would benefit me the most should the time come one may be needed?
I would say test the flank class in the firing range

Andro, Evie and Skye are the best flanks imo. In the right hands those 3 are terrifying. Still have PTSD from matches against those who are competent with them.

Well, if you have the right cards, koga barely falls behind Maeve on speed, and he has more consistent damage than Maeves projectiles, especially on controller. He also has cleanses from his dashes, and short cooldowns ( his energy charges really fast if u play him efficiently). Maeve has no cleanses, is countered much more by cc and her cooldowns are quite long

Id swap koga and evies position since evie is only viable on kbm and is impossible on controller while koga can b played on both with consistent results.
Actually is not impossibile, IS NOT! in osny SOOOOOOOOO HARD! but u can destroy sentire mk lobbies anyway if u have a REALLY good skill.
I have tryed myself dping it, and i partially sucseed! But flank isn't my best Class unfortunally...
BUT my friend Alexis2018_98 is SO GOOD, he is the best evie player in pad by far, but far far, and one of the best evie player i ever played with and agast!
He doesn't have a yt Channel and we are from Europe, but trust me if i sad that u can, is only really really difficult (a ye, the aim assist WORKS on evie, healps a lot, is because of it that i can hit impossibile shots with relativly ez compare to mk (i play with bowth input)
So in case u Want to try a real challenge let's try this, if u like evie u would have some fun😁
i hate flank class not bc the characters or the role but the players that will insta pick 4 flanks and blame you when they are killed in enemy base or they decide to go tank with a talus for some reason (i hate latam)

I think u should do 2 lists, for keyboard players and console. As keybrd player I disagree with this list because good flanker is the one who can push get kill ( maybe 2) and go back to team. Lex is like half dmg half flanker imo cause of his not that good mobility
with crossplay being added to ranked queue it make sense to do only one tierlist, since thats what we gonna play against
As a new flank player I bought zhin and he is so easy! I've played 11 matches with him and won them all 💀 I'm on pc and am much better at aiming with projectiles than hitscan weapons, that plus his insane survivability make him for sure the easiest flank for me

Androxus can' have good damage with that mobility, you'll end up with old androxus when they just brought out talents...he was quite simply the strongest champion in the game, we can't have that again.
That being said, my top 5 flanks when mastered:
1.Vatu
2.Evie
3.Androxus
4.Talus
5.Zhin
Honorable Mentions: Koga and Lex. Lex without his target buff ain't doing it fam

I like to run vatu on open maps and Androxus on closed in maps. Also I will not accept any of your criticism on lex. I run him a lot
Seris is my best flank lol The Soul Collector + speed boost + reduced stun cooldown = powerful and annoying

Had similimar problem. Just play via Epic games and should be fine

All of your assessments of the flanks sounded objective except for Lex. It sounds like you hate him lol. You mentioned that Lex doesn't have survivability. Lex's Heroism talent gives him a 90% damage reduction and CC invulnerability during slides. I use that talent and I find that he's very hard to kill.
Honestly I personally believe Lex is ok. I honestly have a grudge with evie more

it’s so funny that vatu doesn’t get nerfs bc he has one of the lowest overall winrates in the game. i can’t complain, been onetricking him lately and he’s too fun. terrible in lower ranks, broken and banned in high ranks

Why is caspian bad?
Idk, my complaint about flanks is this. Every other hero shooter, extreme mobility and / or stealth is balanced by lowered damage. Not paladins. most flankers have similar or better dps than damage class. Not to mention how most of them are incredibly hard to shoot for a normal player, seeing as they teleport and run fast as light. Doesnt help that most flankers also have cards that damn near fully heal them every 7 seconds or so, meaning you have to kill them twice, while having less mobility, the same HP and DPS, and most damage class dont have a "fully heal me" card/skill.

I would say vora is one of the best
I mean I play Caspian a lot and I think he is actuall pretty good if you do it right and I think the problem with him is that not many people are able to do that. And that bug where sometimes enemies don't take damage if u stand to much in front of them

I still can't believe u didn't put zhin in the top 5. I mean what else could u possibly want. He has insane damage and insane mobility to get him out of any situation. If I was making a tier list I would've put him as my top flank option
