The first 4 AEROSMITH albums have not only stood the test of time but blow away most of todays artists efforts without breaking a sweat. ROCKS is still one of the greatest albums ever!!! No frills, just straight up 4-on-the-floor ROCK N ROLL.
I saw them in Maine when I was a teenager, Tyler passed out on stage and they stopped the concert. They came back later that year and put on a great show. I saw the Joe Perry Project a couple of years later and he looked like he would be dead within days. I'm glad they pulled it together, they became the best rock and roll band ever.
This is the reason I'm proud to be a life long Aerosmith fan since 1990. One excellent performance I can't wait to see this at the movies tonight can't wait for the bluray and can't wait for the concert.
I watched a drugged and drunken Steven Tyler fall and trip over a monitor in Fort Wayne Indiana in 1976. Myabe 77? Still ...they were intro ing the ROCKS album...we got to hear all of Get Your Wings...much of Aerosmith and of course the headlining songs were TOYS.... They opened with "BACK in the SADDLE"...Tyler was drunk/fukked up...tripped ...got up...acted like he was falling again...and we all moved on. I love these guys...they are so human.
Still sounded great, and best of all, they still have ALL their original members!! As self destructive as this band once was, that's an amazing feat!! And they still look like rock stars, not the grandpaps that they are!!
I have seen Aerosmith a few times in my almost 60 years on this great big place call Earth, So many songs but still to this day, this song rocks as hard as it did in the 1970's. 1980's, 1990's! Will always be my favorite song of all times! 🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤
Funny how Whitford had the solo and Perry didn't. But the song was originally written that way ...way back in 1969. This is some old shit. Just like the band. LOL
You guys rocked Donnington so bad, it had been my goal to see you live since I was little and it's been accomplished. Cheers for best Sunday I ever had!
Last year was the third time seeing them. First was support to Whitesnake at the 1990 Monsters of Rock @ Donington. Second was 1994 as Headliners @ Donington and third 2014 Download
I saw them in 1978 and I'm scared they won't live up to my memories but this is actually BETTER musically than the 70s "Turn the Marshall amps to 11" eardrum shattering of the early daze. I just might see them one more time!
I love all the intelligent responses to one persons opinion of a band. If you like the way Steven sings these songs now great for you. I used to love Aerosmith but I just cant stand Steven Tyler anymore. He is a cartoon character of himself and mails in his performances. Again, just my opinion. Feel free to pile on with more of your articulate nasty comments.

Rocks is awesome, but Toys in the Attic is my favorite! NOBODY else even remotely sounds like Aerosmith!
