Poor Abby hope she feels better soon! That is most definitely a cool design for a gas can. I’ve never seen one like that before. Is there a valve that cuts off flow to the spout? Pretty wild how it’s on the bottom! You’ve had it 4 years, with no issues. It must be a good’n! We have a ton of of the shelf cans from auto parts stores. With the black annoying spouts. Most are broken or missing now. I bought some replacement spouts from Amazon recently that are just flexible spouts and you gotta drill a vent on the can too. They are great except the kids already lost all the little caps that go over the spouts. $53 for the one you have is pricey but not to bad considering the ones I’ve always gotten are $25-$30 (haven’t bought one in a while so I don’t know how much they are nowadays). Are they pretty durable? Like the moving parts? Have you had to replace anything over the years?

That black part at the top when pushed down opens the valve in the bottom. When you let go it stops. My dad thought they were going to be a problem when I first got it. He ended up buying 2 to fill his pontoon. I haven’t replaced anything. Use them all the time so I’d think they’re pretty good. A lot of commercial landscapers have them locked to their trailers. I thought they were outrageous years ago when I bought them at $50. I was taking the boat from norfolk to Richmond and back up the James River and I knew the onboard tanks wouldn’t be enough. The one gas station closes at 5pm so I could top off on the way up but not on the way back. To summarize $50 for this or $45 dollars for a 6gal boat tank and buying a hose made these seem a good deal. Abby’s still has hacking spells. She’s more energetic now that what they pumped her full off wore off. They had to though. She spent a weekend at that hospital few years ago and she obviously remembers. She was terrified lunging at anyone that tried to come close to us while I was rigging up the muzzle. It was honestly quite painful to put her through that. Louie is sick to Mom said the vet diagnosed him with kennel cough. We got a diagnosis of bronchitis. Kinda bad timing with the wheel horse show coming up. In
