You can feel how he really feels. He has a habit of putting his heart on his sleeve. He sounded phenomenal as usual. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
What a beautiful song. Austin is an amazing songwriter and singer. I'm never, ever, EVER disappointed by these guys. Thank you for your honest reaction.
I think in this video Austin is portraying the man's inner thoughts - almost like a narrator soliloquy. I think the song is beautiful and the psychological slant of the video is so interesting. Thank you for playing it!
What a beautiful message of love from Austin to Amberly. I agree that it just might be his best one yet! He is a fantastic songwriter and vocalist! I love your message of love to your precious children! I'm thankful for the one's who give me inspiration and hope. Have a great weekend! Love from South Georgia ♥️😃🍟
Great song by Austin and the guys❣️🎼🥰🎶♥️ I'll admit though--I'm a Home Free "acapella purist" at heart; I'd love nothing more than for them to do all their songs in their "traditionally Home Free" way forever. However, these men have been perfecting their group sound and dynamics for years and as humans who have so very much to offer the world, it would be ridiculous to think they'd be content "wasting" their talent by never trying anything new. The opinion I've developed on anything new these guys try--starting back when Austin started his own channel and Tim put out his "Pieces of Me" album--is "If they're still feeding their creative souls by trying new and different things along the way, God willing, none of them will ever feel the need to break up the band just so they can "branch out" on their own." It is my hope every one of our Home Free fellas continue to grow in their own interests so that the Home Free collective will continue and prosper long into the future!!
Questioned this being released by Home Free. Had Austin posted this on his channel as a 'solo' project I'd've been none the wiser. Refried Home Fries did a great analysis of the background instrumentation and vocals so now able to appreciate who's doing what. While I love the visuals of Austin (rockin' the hair), how 'intimate' his closeups feel, and appreciate what he does, melodically, am enjoying this sans video. Again, HF ventures away from 'country' ...so given its broader appeal, hope this gets radio airplay.
They have done a number of songs that weren't 'country" over the years. And 'country' changes it's clothes regularly, too, so who's to say if this is country or not? And while Austin certainly could have released this as a solo, the group decided to put it on this HF album so we need to respect their decision. I think many will question some of the decisions that went into this album, and from the liner notes, they expect people to do that. Personally I don't care for this cut. I don't like the dissonance, the stridency. The sentiment, the poetry are great, but this is not a cut I will be playing as much as some others on the album - but it's not my business WHY they are pushing boundaries (real or imagined, internal or external) on this album. It is my business to enjoy what I can and let them get on with what they do best - write and perform music that speaks to people.
@@nancyholter5646 I somewhat warmed up to this song after a few listens, noted (above) the visuals which piqued my interest, but beyond that, the video doesn't work for me for a variety of reasons. But, as with any video, music...always subjective. While checking out reactors after a new release, when only marginally invested in the production, easy to quickly lose interest in hearing others' opinions.
It is such a different song from them but wow it hits. The part where you got emotional is the part in the song where every time I've heard this I've had to fight back tears. This makes me wish my best friend and soulmate was still here. It wasn't a romantic soulmate but he made me a better person and made me feel like I could do anything and helped give me courage. Thanks so much for your reaction.
Absolutely beautiful! Very emotional. Austin has a beautiful voice & this song is perfect for him to sing. Made me cry too, never be ashamed of your emotions. I love your reactions emotional or not it’s always open & honest❤❤😊
From what I've read, Austin wrote this song & yes they had instrumentation on this. Absolutely beautiful & your reaction was once again spot on. Thx so much.
I'm so glad you picked up on the positive message of the song! So many reactors stop after the first verse and don't pick up on the "but" before the chorus that turns the attitude around.
Loved it. Yeah not sure if that’s Adam or not…could be with reverb and all but there is a piano. I heard Tim briefly but it sounds like a lot of Austin. Yeah, I think of my husband and son. Love your tears Dennis.
Great lyrics!!! Home Free likes to have fun with their songs, but they also love life and try to exemplify The Good Life with certain songs like this one!!!!!
DENNIS, DARREN RUST IS ON THE PIANO. ADAM IS USING A SYNTH, I GUESS IT'S SHORT FOR SYNTHASIZER [MODERN MOOG?]. AUSTIN WROTE THIS SONG, I CAN EVEN ATTRIBUTE THIS TO BE ANOTHER SONG FOR AMBERLY AS WITH THE SONG HE WROTE, "STARGAZER LILIES" AMBERLY'S FAVORITE FLOWER. THESE TWO SONGS AND WHAT'S LEFT OF MY HEART ARE THREE OF THE 12 ORIGINALS ON THEIR NEW 14 TRACK ALBUM "SO LONG DIXIE" COMING 1ST WEEK IN NOVEMBER. I ALREADY HAVE MINE I GOT AT THE SEPT.23RD PORTLAND CONCERT [TIM CALLS IT A PARTY NOT A CONCERT/SHOW. YOU CAN ONLY GET THE ALBUM PRE-RELEASE BY PRE-ORDER OR AT THE SHOW. I HAVE EVERY ALBUM PLUS TIM'S. THE TWO COVERS ON THE ALBUM IS FOLSOM PRISON BLUES AND EVERYBOBY WALKIN' THIS LAND. AUSTIN AND JEFFREY E AST AND 2 OTHERS ALSO WROTE PLAYING WITH FIRE. JEFFREY ALSO CO-WROTE "UNDERSTAND" WITH TIM..AUSTIN AND TIM WROTE "ROAD SWEET ROAD THE 1ST TRACK WHICH WAS THE NAME OF THIS TOUR. CHRIS CATHAM CO- WROTE ON OTHER TRACKS. THE OTHER NAMES I DON'T RECOGNIZE. TEXAS HILL IS FEATURED ON ONE OF THE TRACKS "GIVIN' UP ON YOU" ANOTHER TIM ORIGINAL.
Yeah Dennis your babies Are growing up, I believe one just turned 13! My 3 sons are in their late 30's and early 40's, they are men, one's turning grey already, but they will always be my babies!!! You'll see! But treat them as you would want to be treated at their age that's the key! Blessings Big D!
Beautiful original. But then again, I didn't expect anything different from Home Free. No matter what song, what genre, who the lead singer is, it's always great.
Love your reaction! It is a different song for the group, it does kind of seem more like a solo song. It is so beautiful though, Austin is so talented in his writing and in his singing!🔥🔥
I have been separated 5 and 1/2 years. I get asked why I fight daily and admin for so many groups across all social media. I have a 19 year old son, I want him to live free. I have no other motivation left.
This a top-tier pop song with a very relatable theme, & a virtuosic belting male lead vocal. I'll second Rob's tweet which proclaimed "Austin wrote a bop"! #BopConfirmed :) Why the f### is the likes of this not in the charts, rather than the rancid cynical bulls### that "the industry" injects into it? Good question. I recommend Mark Devlin's excellent book "Musical Truth" to anyone interested in looking into popular music being used as a mass-scale social engineering experiment. p.s. anyone bitching about use of a piano & some synth was never really a fan of the lads. #LetThemGrowFFS p.p.s. all the best to you & yours from a random music appreciator in Dundee, Scotland. :)

Such a pretty song...Austin is also, like Tim, an underrated song writer !!!

Austin has said he wrote this about Amberly but that it could mean many different things to different people: God, family, etc...
I was at their concert on the 13 and they did one written by Austin. He definitely needs to do more.

Adam is doing the percussion vocally as always. After all, he's a better drummer than a lot of drummers, so why would you trade him out?

I have a request singers are Brother Jo and Aell. It's a mashup up a Garth Brooks song and A Lady Gaga song.
Can you finish Grace Vanderwaal 💗💖
Can you react/review Sound of Silence by Disturbed?
