If you ever decide to do this again, there are several things you were missing when grinding for stickers. First, the CD/Sticker Factory stages are still the best way to farm stickers and CDs. The reason you only got 40 new stickers was because if you get more than 255 stickers and CDs in a single match, it overflows to zero since it only checks the number of stickers you got before giving you the actual stickers (Also the reason you only got 2 CDs instead of 4). Now, what you were doing was a good way of farming, but doing so on the factory would save time overall since you need the "Play x hours of brawls". CDs you obtain are always new ones. In regards to applying sticker drop stickers, only the highest value is applied. No effects will stack, so only the +26 was applied. I hope this helps if you ever decide to do this again!
Yeah i learned about the sticker factory sticker gathering during the run, definitely won't be doing that again; just going to use for CD's. I might consider sacrificing some extra time to do the fast brawl just so sleep is more and better, not sure yet. As for the stickers in subspace i didn't know that, so thanks! Will definitely keep in mind for next run.
I actually wonder, for future speedruns, if hammering all the "clear classic/all-star/boss rush with all characters" might be faster than grinding for stickers, music and trophies.
Unfortunately those aren't possible, because both classic/all star have an extra challenge along with them (all character trophies, all final smash trophies respectively) so you'd have to get rid of two hammers for that which wouldnt be feasible. :( As for boss battles, there's challenges for completing with 20 characters, so you might as well complete it with all of them.
Well not Subspace but challenges in general, but yeah! I was actually pretty upset that all that work went for nothing. There's no line in the game at all for the achievement, so it's not like you need to do them without hammers or anything.
