How do you personally expand your vocabulary? I really enjoy the way you speak. You sound intelligent and knowledgeable without sounding patronising like I think Russell Brand does😏
    Happy New Year 💚

hey! firstly thank you, what a lovely compliment!! Honestly that means so much to me. INCREDIBLY glad I am not comparable to Russell Brand 😆
My main vocab tip would be reading a mix of stuff even if it bores you a little - I've read non fiction magazines, articles etc as well as books, my whole life and I think the different context when reading has helped loads! If you don't like reading, podcasts, YT etc are great for non fiction and video essays, or the radio.
I've been trying really hard in the last year with my speech to be more concise, intentional with words and cut out fillers (like, um etc), but one thing I will say is that the uploads like this one, it is 75% editing - I cut out so many pauses, fillers words, long stretches of silence where I consider what I say, so although it may seem polished, this was a good talking day and a good edit day 😉 not to diminish your compliment, and my work but to hopefully be realistic! I think talking in front of a camera regularly too has really improved how I express myself! I still have more days than not where I can barely spit a sentence out, or can't think of the word I need

Thanks for your reply 🤗 and I appreciate your honesty about editing. It's refreshing to have a content creator that isn't pretending 😏
I definitely need to work on being intentional with my words because the ums and likes are firmly in my vocabulary at this point 😂
So um reading and um like podcasts is like on my um to do list this year. Um.
      Happy Another Year.
Looking forward to your content in 2025 💚

I have started journaling and I’m struggling to move from diary type entries as I don’t find these beneficial. They feel super short and almost performative! I have so many things I feel to write but end up saying I don’t know what to say 😅

totally get this!! it took me ages to make diary entries work for me. Maybe research into prompts? There's loads of great ones out there that can help give you more direction with writing
