Hi Jeff, is it possible to create one video where you show how to handle pasted tin surface? I want to find a quick solution for overlapping models. How can you choose which slopes you want to keep, where should the two slopes different models be pruned etc?
Yes, to extract the quantities separately you would define each one as a unique material having (if needed) their own subcriteria definitions. Hello Sir. I am a Takeoff clerk. I want to know if there is a way to obtain every cut and fill quantity with Civil 3D ( for commercial projects, restaurants, autoparts stores,etc) needed for an estimation. Like, if I have a PDF or TIFF, can I trace existing vs proposed, and obtain quantities?

I wish this video existed before 2010 when i had a hard time understanding why complex overlapping materials disappeared when adding criterias.

How to calculate volume correction in civil3d
is it posible for you do drop a Zip file so i can play around with the data?
Just create yourself some simple subgrade surfaces using feature lines. Use these surfaces to represent your subgrade materials.
