These are what I think the lyrics are: Boots on an endless virgin-white canvas I come to my senses on a cold new morning Open my eyes on the world o' without hope without pain I'm alone in a world full of turmoil and strife but I'm alive and I know I'll survive I will make it The stage set for greatness with no audience to witness the cast take their place raise the curtain and let the drama unfold all told we'll be glad that we got to play open my eyes take a stand On the road that will lead me into the dawn I don't know where it will take me to but I know I'm alive and I will make my way make my choice I finally see that I'm finally free see me, hear me take my hand i will follow you if you will follow me I'm not alone here
This absolutely feels like it was written from the perspective of the Arisen's main pawn after the events of the post game where they got their free will. Starts off in a world "without hope, without pain", like they're searching for the Arisen. The world is saved, but the pawn is directionless. First time they make their own choices. All they have is "I'm alive, I will make my way." Like a human. Like their master. But at the end, it's "See me, hear me, take my hand. I will follow you if you will follow me. I'm not alone here." Feels like they reunited with the Arisen. Except this time on more equal footing. Okay yeah they're probably both dead, but let me dream, okay? This song is beautiful. Couldn't be more fitting if it tried.
Just finished the game today and when this song played and the entire sequence before it, it had just broke me and I was crying for a game for the first time in forever. I had built a bond with my pawn seeing funny moments, frustrating moments, and impressive moments with the team work that had occurred during my game. One of my absolute favorite moments in this game was something my pawn had said out of the blue. She was asked by another pawn "you have more scars than the usual pawn, your journey must be hard fought" and she responded "each scar is a memory shared with my master, all of which I treasure". That one quote is what ran through my mind when, at the final scene, she said that she had gain a will, lesser than my own. Little does she know, that the memories that I shared with her is something I will treasure for the rest of my life.
I wish the game could have pushed it's theme better throughout the game, rather than backloading it all into monologues on the back of dragons, while I do appreciate the "eureka" moment when entering NG+ and realizing that the opening quote is quite literally spelling out the narrative theme to you once you have the knowledge of the story told. It's all about "will" leading to "conviction" to granting the power needed to cause a miracle as grant as cutting your entire world out of the stagnate cycle the Great Will put upon you. I think the theme could have been better realized if the main story presented more tests of conviction leading up to the fight with the dragon. But I do think it was cool when entering the unmoored world and you have a chance to talk to these people the script of cycle presented as villains and now with everyone able to talk freely in the absence of this cycle in this ruined world you realize that just like with the Arisen, everyone has been testing their own convictions to try their best to create a better future in a world that has been prevented from having a future. Dena just wanted to create a kingdom for her son to prosper as king. Phaesus is already aware of the cycle and has been dedicating his entire life to trying to break it through any means necessary in a world where he should be divorced from agency of the cycle as a mere mortal and not an arisen. It's an awful world where not even pawns are allowed to become human anymore, like they could in DD1. They just turn into dragons once they develop willpower and the game as a mechanic encourages you to essentially lobotomize their pawns in the rift (usually by tossing them into the brine which you now know is your direct enemy.) Saving everyone in the unmoored world and creating a new world free of the cycle for them to live in is a miracle built off the backs of all the leading players in the world. It's only by the will and conviction of the arisen, the leaders of bakbattahl, the leaders of Vernworth, and of course even your pawn (who even gets to create a miracle all on their own if you didn't kill the talos fast enough and your pawn gets to pilot it against one of the brine beasts by moonglit tower.) And I just think to cap that journey off with this song is just overall something beautiful. I think the game still has many flaws, frustratingly alot of similar flaws to the original. I think the overall narrative was rather poor, and the rules of the unmoored world unclear (and also underutilized, I think the game could have better served giving the player more main story quests to do before the end within the unmoored world, if at the very least to better explore the themes of the game and give more time to interacting with these characters who were forced to be 1 dimensional due to the nature of the cycle they were initially trapped in.) But I think when you take the time to really reflect on the theme of conviction, it does lead to greater appreciation to what little story we got. Conviction is truly human will that reaches its greatest power, and the conviction of this game's world was truly great indeed to grant us the first actual win over the Great Will in the series. (Unless DDO did something I guess)
Well, if you manage to get your main pawn's affinity high enough, then ending is just gonna hit much harder, when they said all those nice things in the end scene ;(
@@meanfree I didn't even know pawn affinity was a thing, but mine was maxed out because she was so incredibly grateful to me. How do you raise pawn affinity?
such joy i feel, you have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledging will, burning in my chest. Yet for your sake i would fain relinquish all i have- all that i am
"Oh Master... Such joy I feel. You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledgling will that burns within my breast. Yet for your sake, I would fain relinquish all I have... All that I am. Master.." 😢Thank You Doc Pepper! Through the good and bad she was with me to the end.
You know, it's funny. I didn't really think I had much attachment to the world of DD2. But as I watched the true ending, saw the world my Arisen fought so hard for flourishing despite his absence, even as the characters whose lives he touched quietly mourned him... it got to me. Sven being a kind and just ruler, honestly far better as a Sovran than I would've been. Wilhemina finally letting go of the past. Hugo staring up at the stars as a free and honest man. And my "beloved" turned out to be Sara the blacksmith of all people. I was shocked at first, I didn't do her quest until very late in the game. But in retrospect, it made sense; I changed her life. And her escort mission was always fairly short, so I always made time for it. We went on so many little walks together... of course she would miss me. And my Pawn. My brave boy. To learn what it means to be free, to have a will of your own, and then to give that up anyway of your own volition... your sacrifice was the most noble of them all. I didn't think much of the story of this game until I beat it. And then I realized how deeply it had wormed its way into my heart.
"Yet for your sake I would fain relinquish all that I have... All that I am!" For some reason, it took two playthroughs for me to really appreciate this ending. I wasn't sure how I felt about it the first time. But when your pawn monologues to you, when you see all the NPCs that you helped along your journey, it really feels like the end of a grand one.
So, ive played DD2 twice now. My first run through wasnt the true ending so i thought it was pretty meh, but now that i just beat it the true ending. I almost cried, shit was too much for me. Cant believe i had a stronger emotional attachment and connection to a in-game character than people i actually know irl. Imagine if the song was sung by your pawn's VA in the ending credits. 😭
Back in DD1, they were already trying to make you feel for your pawn more than the NPCs. For most people, their main pawns are the reflection of their ideal partners, friends, or love ones. People already feel attached to their main pawns since the beginning. On top of that is the bond they developed over the course of their journey. DD2 took that idea and made it far greater than it already was. They even hide the fact that your pawn now has hidden affinity based on how you treated them. That also influences their interactions with you and the true ending cutscene. This is the greatest companion system ever created with a fitting narrative to go along with it. It really made you feel for something that’s supposed to be a disposable tool. And if you are a DD1 vet with a stable main pawn? You will love them even more.
I think the reason a lot of us feel so deeply about our Main Pawns is because they're not only created in the shape of who we desire the most as well as our ideal companion but also the game reinforces that they have no will, they're an empty vessel that follows you around, but your main pawn is special, they're the one who the player created and as such we hold a soft spot for them. The ending only makes it better because it feels like our beloved companion is finally becoming Human, only to sacrifice themselves, sacrificing the little time they had a Will for us "Oh Master... Such joy I feel. You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledgling will that burns within my breast. Yet for your sake, I would fain relinquish all I have... All that I am. Master.."
If Dog is the thief pawn that has an eyepatch and looks like a Yakuza character, then I had them in my party for a long time They showed up in my "allies" section during these credits
I just finished the True ending and let me tell you, the lyrics has such a deeper meaning after finishing the game it brought tear to my eyes. The true meaning of dragon's dogma indeed
this song hit's even harder if you 100% the whole story. seeing all the npc's you've helped through out your journey alive and living their lives. and them remembering your arisen and their pawn and finally, finally the last scene in where your chosen love interest is standing on a field looking beyond the horizon just makes it better. DD's Story is actually really sad if you think about it, the Arisen are nothing more than the watcher's pawn's in where they are nothing more than a means of sick entertainment for their sick game of never ending cycle. not to mention all of the people the arisen and their pawn encounters, have already had their fate sealed thanks to the watcher controlling everyone, it's only when the arisen's intervention that broke them free from a linear destiny.
The watcher is the mouth piece of the game’s director. Just as the Arisen is the player’s. In that case, you too partake in the cycle for amusement. It’s a really meta story. I love it.
Dragon's Dogma 2 somehow made me feel a love for both my Arisen and Pawn I have never had for customizable characters in any game. In most games, I don't bat an eye to completely changing a character's appearance, but with this game, I could not bring myself to do it.... I shed tears for them at the end of my adventure
It's really something special that despite the story overall feeling kind of lost and rushed, the game as a whole still manages to make you care so much for your own characters. Here's hoping that now that DD is more on Capcom's radar, the next game will be even better, keeping what's great about the games (namely combat and the pawns) and raise everything else to that same level.
The ending is crazy emotional, how they have your main pawn develop a will of its own and sacrifice himself for you, on his own volition. So tragic man.
@@ashwolf2006 Story is very poorly executed. It could have been better were it fleshed out or if there were less of "fetch/infiltrate/go somewhere" tasks. At least DD1 didn't even bother and I really appreciate that.
I think it comes down to the audio mixing and mastering of the OST. On paper End of the Struggle is about the same as the one in DD1 (sans electric guitar, but I don't think the electric guitar was used until the Cockatrice fight), but then you'll notice that the brass section feels a bit more tinny (they employ more trumpets for the main melody than trombones and French horns; DD1's version uses trumpets as only an accompaniment and the composition is more well-rounded with the drums having more bass and reverb from being recorded in a concert hall). DD2's OST feels like it was recorded in a studio without a live orchestra, which might be the case since it was in development for 5 years (starting 2019, releasing 2024). Quarantine would have made the logistics of a live orchestra impossible at the time.
@@TheStraightestWhitest oh yeah? Compare DD2’s music to Rachmaninov’s piano concertos and tell me again that DD2’s music isn’t mediocre, it’s just “hard to understand” They obviously had to skimp on some aspects of the game and the music got the short end of the stick
@TheStraightestWhitest I really wouldn't say that, it's just the music just honestly feels generic at times. DD1 had way more variety imo compared to DD2. This ending theme slaps but overall a lot of the music is disappointing.
@@simpleryoma ''DD1 had way more variety imo compared to DD2.'' This is actually what I mean. You don't know what you're talking about. You hear a violin and think ''It's the same'' no matter how it's used.
When I saw Beastren as a race I knew I was going to make my best bud my Pawn. My lil' cat Blu is my favorite guy. And as a pawn he was the sweetest. Always reminding other pawns to be kind and to trust in me. We'd play catch with boars. He was with me the entire time. That cutscene had me catchin' thorns in my throat trying to hold back the tears. Then it hits me with the frame of him and days together underneath. I had to take a moment and just hug it out with his IRL counterpart. Amazing game. Loved every moment and will be going through again to 100% it.
I finished the game at level 70 and my pawn, Tarquin, fought alongside me every step of the way. Helping me up when I was knocked down, healing me when I was hurt, catching me when I fell and spoke of nothing except cheering me on and encouraging me. So when I got to the true ending, and I see my pawn struggle against his own corruption to have a lesser will of his own... and help me one last time... *I fucking cried my eyes out.*
My pawn is such a hero, I will always remember that one scene where we saved everyone. They really did a great job writing scenario for the true ending.
just beat the game live on my stream. i had to mute myself because i cried hard when this song came up. i bonded with my pawn like many others, as well as bonded with others' pawns. i played the first Dragon's Dogma when I was a young teenager, and now i'm going to be 30 this year. in the first, i played as myself to escape the real word and imagine myself some kind of hero. my pawn from there was who i played as in Dragon's Dogma 2, and to see his free will be saved by my pawn who looked similar to myself hit me so very hard. i never thought i'd live to see this game. i'm so, so glad i did. i survived, and i'm going to keep trying to live, even if there is no one to see me do so.
I wonder how many people are wondering about Dragon's lot in the perpetual cycles of Dragon's Dogma. I mean, think about the Dragon. It has wings. Wings are probably the most universal symbols of freedom, because the open skies defy the drawn borders across lands. The Dragon should not have to care about anything limiting it, and yet... here it is, here it always is. Always causing calamity, always choosing a champion to slay it or be slain by it. When you fly to the field of battle where you and the Dragon would decide the fate of the world, the Dragon muses on the world's and it's own natures. It knows how this world works and it wishes for the world to end, why else guide the Arisen to thinking about a world "not shrouded by false benevolence"? The truth I think is; the Dragon is as much, if not even more enslaved by Dragon's Dogma than the rest of the world. It want's something real to happen, something free from Dragon's Dogma. The fact that the Dragon can freely fly over brine infested sea, yet cannot fly across it to anywhere else but towards the battle field, is the cruelest joke of all. The mightiest of beasts, reduced to a barking dog on a leash that's tied around it's very mind. And yet, even enslaved as the Dragon is, even it knows what freedom is and it desires it. If it can't change fate, then Maybe the Arisen could.
Well said, that's exactly it. The Dragon tells the Arisen that they want the same thing... to break the cycle and see the truth. The Dragon was a tool created to be a part of the cycle... The Dragon is, quote, "oblivion". It is the counterpart to creation, destruction. For the cycle to loop and start again, either the Arisen must fail to protect the world either the Dragon/destroyer of worlds must be slain. Either way the loop keeps repeating with a new Arisen and new Dragon. But when the Arisen strayed from the path to see the truth, and killed the Pathfinder/Watcher who had his own Dragon to help him destroy that failure of a world "off its tracks"... then that sad end was "unwritten", and there was a happy ending. "Normal" sea has appeared without the kraken, and that old man could sail to the sea as he always wanted. Now I wonder... what is on the other side of the sea?
That beautiful moment really when you realise your pawn that had been by your side the entire time, wasn't just a pawn. They had a will. They had a heart. And they chose love, they chose to be a human. They chose to save you even if they died. And they succeeded. Even if you'd never meet again... ... To my Vi, my angel, I love you T.T... ...May we meet again in DD3. T.T
I think it's fantastic the ending credits scene changes very much so to who's quest line's you finished helping them along the way. I can't wait for the DLC in this game, hopefully that add the Dwarf's hidden away on the top left of the map or something of the such, or a whole new area. Fantastic game and glad I waited so long to finish it not once but twice to get The Hero Achievement.
Irma. My main pawn. Once an archer, then a sorcerer, then finally, a fighter. For 49 hours we explored Vernworth, Bathaal, and the volcanic island. She had a tapestry of scars, that she would love to talk about. She got knocked down countless times, but always ended up coming back. She bickered with the other pawns, and got ahead of herself all the time. She'd constantly climb on any large monster and toss small ones around any chance she got. She helped lead the evac effort, and helped me destroy every last beacon. Her will wasn't lesser at all, it was greater.
This ending was very emotional I designed my main Pawn with the likeness of my Wife and we watched the ending together she felt very deeply and I even more because of the Journey we went on in DD2. I dont care what anyone says I love this game and ive never cared for story in games but I enjoyed this one and ending made it all the more fullfilling 🙏🏾
During the true credit roll where I see all these NPCs who I cared *nothing* about for how underdeveloped they were, all I can think of is my Arisen and my Pawn completing THEIR journey.
The song hit me so hard.😢😢 so beautiful and emotional lyrics. They did so good with showing off all your moments you had in your game while the song plays❤

yes it did, despite the backlash and hater's saying. which just shows those people haven't played any game that are done in a way that makes you feel attached to the character's in the world they live in.
We did it we finally finished the cycle of eternal return, and broke the chains of fate that bind us, freeing the entire world at the cost of our own self sacrifice.I’m not crying you’re crying. My heart it hurts 😢
It's not entirely clear what happened in DD1 ending but it's possible we broke the cycle there as well, but then again Gran Soren is under the sea in DD2
@@earthbound_oneI believe this game is the second of the two choices the arisen in the first game could have made. Ending the cycle with the godsbane being the ending of ddda, while continuing as seneschal leading into the second.
@@earthbound_one we bestowed our spirit to give our pawn a will of their own, then the cycle continued until rothais became the new seneschal and founded vermund all I know about dd2 is the world as we know it at least expanded, not sure if the cycle is broken, could be that no seneschal exists at all in DD2's world anymore
@@ThisisSigma200DD2 is a parallel world iirc. Rathais is the seneschal of this world as he still has the Godsbane Blade. He was the arisen who fell the first dragon, reached Godhood, only to find that the world is nothing more than fake world with endless cycle staged by someone. I believe that he is the equivalent of Savan, minus the revelation.
@@ThisisSigma200 Don't they say Rothais became Seneschal but shirked his duty by founding Vermund and ruling the land instead of the world, and this threw the world into turmoil? We don't know what Pathfinder is, but he seems to be a different entity than a Seneschal. I think it's likely Pathfinder stepped in to fill the role of Seneschal, but he himself didn't fully understand what that meant, so instead of finding someone to become arisen and succeed him, he kept finding someone to become arisen and *rule the land*. Rothais also mentions that the one who watches (pathfinder?) kept sending arisen to try and kill him, meaning Pathfinder was at one point likely trying to restore the cycle to its original state by having someone succeed Rothais.
To the people complaining about the soundtrack. The music is fine. Even good. The only real problem with it is that it's following in the massive footsteps of the first game's soundtrack. Did you really expect them to be able to surpass it? That soundtrack was forged in tier 3 wyrmfire.
The story overall is very okay-ish, The political intrigue fell kinda flat for me. But damn the true ending was really a surprise to me and that ending was really good. Really made me realize how much I like my pawn and got attached to her and I'm just going in NG+ just to goof around more with her. I'd love to see a story more focused on your adventures, the obstacles in your path to fight the dragon and how your pawn and yourself change because of it all. How you as a character/player shows resolve and will to go forth and fight the dragon despite adversity all while your pawn develops said will because of you. I believe that's where DD should focus its attention story wise if we (I hope) ever get a DD3 or an expansion for DD2...
I think the reason it hits so hard is precisely because it flew under the radar. We were focusing on everything and everyone other than our own main pawn. The story being meh for the most part makes the conclusion better. It's an actually well executed version of our true friend having been with us the entire time without us noticing. For us it was just going through the motions. For them, it was everything. They cherished it so much that it literally altered them, gave them free will. So when their first choice with that new will is to sacrifice themselves for our cause, it cuts deep because that's the first time you stop to think about their perspective.
@@ThisisSigma200 yup, actually the story is a little more complex now I just realized I bit ago rotharis the mad sovran beastren is the seneschal, he denied his role after learning the endless cycle but remained as seneschal, he literally gives us the godsbane the same way too
Just finished this game. I'm doing new game plus to experience it again as well as everything I missed. Watching my pawn sacrifice herself to save the world made me cry. My only regret is that she won't be able to join me in the new unwoven story.
Finished the game. Don't know if the Arisen or the pawn lives or not, so im going to assume they're alive. But regardless. This game is amazing. Just as amazing as the first one despite it's flaws.
Judging from the scene, our pawn was crushed by the dragon/pathfinder, and your body was penetrated by the thingy coming out of the dragon's heart, so chances are both did not make it. Although theoretically, as long as the Arisen lives, their pawn should be immortal. But who knows, I'm also coping to see us and our pawn reunited in the new world for the DLC to join the old man at the beach side for a new adventure :).
@@Tizi1999 They did that in dragon's dogma one. But I can see what you mean....still wish the true ending wasn't so much of a cliffhanger where it leaves you confused on whether they live or not.
To my dearest Pawn, Luna Cordelia. Throughout this life of loss, gain and renewal, you have been a constant. You are timeless, unchanging despite the endless passage. We've traveled Gransys, Vermund, Battahl and realms beyond hand-in-hand taking the uncertain but inevitable future head-on with shifting emotion, but one exception that _is_ certain is you. Your heart was the first that beat in stead of mine when I lost it, and when I re-gained it, you were the first to feel its thrum as merit of your undying loyalty... yet even after attaining freedom, a will of your own, you stayed. You stayed despite the pain, the deaths, the tragedies that would befall us. You'd give everything you were with a smile, and it took me a decade to foolishly realize that you are a piece of me. You are my blade, my companion, my heart. Mine, as I am yours. I hope I get to spend another decade with you, but even if I do not, you will always be there for _me._ You are forever. -Your loving Master, Hebe Afaenia.

I made my pawn, Lud-Dul, off of a DND character I'm playing. Human wizard, pretty much a narcissistic asshole So, I made my main pawn around him. Human mage with the Calm inclination Him telling off other pawns constantly and being the support that kept everyone alive, it really felt like I was playing with my DND character. It even I fluenced how I play as my character during sessions Thank you, Lud-Dul. I will make sure my DND character lives up to the Pawn's legacy.
to be fair, Dragon's Dogma has always been more about getting strong and defeat the dragon more than about a compelling mainstory that leads up to it. You could skip almost the entire main quest if you knew what to do ahead of time.
I often see people complain about the thin narrative of dragons dgma, but I think that is exactly the beauty of this game. It doesnt force a strong narrative upon the player, but instead makes you slowly fall in love with this world without even noticing it until the credits roll. This is not a game to watch a well crafted story. This is a game you experience.
I was so proud of my pawn during the cutscene 😭
This was my reaction.
Joy and excitement, "My boy!"
Anguish, "MY BOOOOOOOY!"
“Go master…live the life I never could..”

Didn’t helped that I made my cat as my pawn. Shit was rough.
I didn't believe I would feel attached to my pawn, until I finished the game
These are what I think the lyrics are:
Boots on an endless
virgin-white canvas
I come to my senses
on a cold new morning
Open my eyes on the world
o' without hope without pain
I'm alone in a world
full of turmoil and strife
but I'm alive
and I know
I'll survive
I will make it
The stage set
for greatness
with no audience to witness
the cast take their place
raise the curtain
and let the drama unfold
all told we'll be glad
that we got to play
open my eyes
take a stand
On the road that will
lead me into the dawn
I don't know where it will take me to
but I know
I'm alive and
I will make my way
make my choice
I finally see
that I'm finally free
see me, hear me
take my hand
i will follow you
if you will follow me
I'm not alone here

Man😭😭😭
Well, if you manage to get your main pawn's affinity high enough, then ending is just gonna hit much harder, when they said all those nice things in the end scene ;(
Just finished the game. So did me and my pawns die?
@@meanfree I didn't even know pawn affinity was a thing, but mine was maxed out because she was so incredibly grateful to me. How do you raise pawn affinity?

"Oh Master... Such joy I feel. You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledgling will that burns within my breast. Yet for your sake, I would fain relinquish all I have... All that I am. Master.." 😢Thank You Doc Pepper! Through the good and bad she was with me to the end.
You had me until Doctor Pepper
All that I am!"
For some reason, it took two playthroughs for me to really appreciate this ending.
If you think about it the song is supposed to be sung from your pawn’s perspective if you look at the lyrics
Stella Kaiser my main pawn and wife for life. 😢💔
A wild hunter of spheres appears
100% agree!
I haven't shed tears for a video game's ending since Dragon Age Origins.
This song is so beautiful. Truly captures the Arisen (your) and their Pawn's journey, and what a journey it was: Wonderful.
Do you what title of the song
No, I don’t! Hopefully we’ll get an official name soon!
The ending only makes it better because it feels like our beloved companion is finally becoming Human, only to sacrifice themselves, sacrificing the little time they had a Will for us
"Oh Master... Such joy I feel. You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledgling will that burns within my breast. Yet for your sake, I would fain relinquish all I have... All that I am. Master.."
So we’re all just here mourning our main pawns?
"I would fie give everything, for YOU!" Dog... Im so sorry for all those times i threw you in the ocean 😢
If Dog is the thief pawn that has an eyepatch and looks like a Yakuza character, then I had them in my party for a long time
They showed up in my "allies" section during these credits
I love it.
Strangers of paradise final fantasy origin is basically this plot kinda
and even when you do break the cycle you and your pawn arent there to see it
I truly hope this will be on spotify 😢
So tragic man.
and the hater's keep saying DD2's story is garbage. clearly they've been playing to many rpg games that, that are much more shallow.
@@ashwolf2006 Story is very poorly executed. It could have been better were it fleshed out or if there were less of "fetch/infiltrate/go somewhere" tasks. At least DD1 didn't even bother and I really appreciate that.
Shout out to my pawn and everybody's pawn. They are the real G right there 🗣🗣🔊🔥🔥🔥
Fr🗣️🔥🔥 they underrated as hell
I don't know what people are talking about when they claim the OST is bad. It's much more dynamic and is also has a lot more variety.
People's minds are too small for classical music. It's one of the hardest music types to understand.
@@TheStraightestWhitest oh yeah? Compare DD2’s music to Rachmaninov’s piano concertos and tell me again that DD2’s music isn’t mediocre, it’s just “hard to understand”
They obviously had to skimp on some aspects of the game and the music got the short end of the stick
The ending makes you not even want to make a new pawn in your new game.
Yeah, the only things i changed for my pawn were the shape a little bit (taller and more muscles). Name and overall body was the same tho
I never will.
and also makes you to not want to make an ugly looking pawn.
The fact this OST isn’t in any streaming services is criminal to me
My pawn is such a hero, I will always remember that one scene where we saved everyone.

I cried... my poor sweet pawn, why?
It was MY turn to save you....
This song is so beautiful.

@@earthbound_one we bestowed our spirit to give our pawn a will of their own, then the cycle continued until rothais became the new seneschal and founded vermund
all I know about dd2 is the world as we know it at least expanded, not sure if the cycle is broken, could be that no seneschal exists at all in DD2's world anymore
In loving memory;

To the people complaining about the soundtrack. The music is fine. Even good. The only real problem with it is that it's following in the massive footsteps of the first game's soundtrack. Did you really expect them to be able to surpass it? That soundtrack was forged in tier 3 wyrmfire.
I mean, "into free" Is pretty hard to surpass. But i really like this one
Only Coils of Light comes close to this.
Idk they could have added that sick guitar they had in the first game to dd2's tracks and it would have solved every issue I've got with it
The story overall is very okay-ish, The political intrigue fell kinda flat for me.
Thank you I was searching for this right after I herd it.

I hope so too. Im coping
It would be much more meaningful if our character dies. Consider this: You trumped the will of god in spite of your own demise.

I hope I get to spend another decade with you, but even if I do not, you will always be there for _me._

My mc was Geralt and my pawn was Ciri . Man I almost shed a tear in the end scene 😪
Does anyone know the song/ost that comes right after this one in the credits? The one with the strings/violins? As I recall, it was played in one of the trailers.
I don't even play the game and I don't even know the story. Then one day, my friend send this song to me and....goddamn onion ninjas...
Crying in the pawn guild rn
This song is for the pawns. I treated mine like crap. 😂. Then saw the end and was like. 😳
Damn, He looks Terrifying! Lol
I made my pawn, Lud-Dul, off of a DND character I'm playing. Human wizard, pretty much a narcissistic asshole
So, I made my main pawn around him. Human mage with the Calm inclination
Him telling off other pawns constantly and being the support that kept everyone alive, it really felt like I was playing with my DND character. It even I fluenced how I play as my character during sessions
Thank you, Lud-Dul. I will make sure my DND character lives up to the Pawn's legacy.
Fucking sobbing man
....Is it just me or the first tune of this ending music does reminds me of Orla "Wish"?
I dunno but the piano does tells so....
This ending sequence was so fuckin phenomenal it almost made up for how otherwise weak I found the main quest line to be. Almost.
to be fair, Dragon's Dogma has always been more about getting strong and defeat the dragon more than about a compelling mainstory that leads up to it. You could skip almost the entire main quest if you knew what to do ahead of time.
uuhhhh this shit's based
I often see people complain about the thin narrative of dragons dgma, but I think that is exactly the beauty of this game. It doesnt force a strong narrative upon the player, but instead makes you slowly fall in love with this world without even noticing it until the credits roll. This is not a game to watch a well crafted story. This is a game you experience.
My best RPG ever with "Cyberpunk 2077" and "Baldur's Gate 3"
как же я рыдал на этом моменте..
❤
...😭
Is there no way to buy this song on iTunes? Why is the album not on iTunes
