The judges do explain a little during the kickback and wildcard livestreams SBX has had recently, where you get more of an understanding of certain choices for that particular event.
But the judging criteria also seem to change a lot...

Only a tiny bit of an understanding because of the language barrier. 2 French judges and 1 Russian. Inkie is the easiest to understand.
