I've always been a big fan of Earthbound. I think it's the only RPG that I've played more then once. I haven't actually played Mother 3 yet but I definitely plan to, especially after doing this song!

There's no doubt. Itoi is a genius, a writer of incredible calibre and with ideas of such beautiful execution that it's no wonder people appreciate Mother. I wasn't even born when Earthbound was released but I still love it. It just goes to show that finding Mother 3 on the internet 4 years ago was one of the greatest things. Playing it was incredible. It woke me up to video gaming again. It was just like my two other favourite games, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 and Elebits, exploratory and unique.
So Nintendo, there may be 16 melodies, but that's no excuse not to make the song whole.
Feel the same way about itoi, also you are the first person i see that knows and likes elebits

Hey guys. Itoi taught us to be compassionate, to be kind and to be all thoughtful and strong. So why, why must we berate Undertale fans? The whole message of Undertale is similar to Itoi's, and while it may not be as genius or as grandiose... I think it's amazing that Itoi's vision can be passed down from his mind to the mind of Iwata to the minds of millions across the world, and into the mind of one Mr. Toby Fox.
Toby Fox was inspired by Itoi's vision and message, and wanted to make a game just like the ones he loved. Toby spread this message to a younger, newer audience... and you guys are just shaming them. Yes sure, maybe Undertale isn't as good or as memorable as Mother 3 or EarthBound...but that doesn't mean you shouldn't treat all games with respect.
If Itoi wanted us to love, if Itoi wanted us to greet people with open arms... why aren't we doing that? Shouldn't we be accepting Undertale as a great contemporary of legendary experiences like the ones that Mother 3 and EarthBound brought us? Why the hate?
As both an Undertale and a MOTHER fan this confuses and concerns me. Sure, not all Undertale fans are cool. But not all MOTHER fans are cool either! So stop the hate against Undertale. Soon you'll all realize how good it really was...
Oh yeah, and by the way: if you didn't enjoy Undertale, that's fine! Just don't hate others for doing that just because you think Undertale is "cringey" or "cancerous" or whatever. I know that the hate has died down, but there are still some out there that just love to hate on Undertale for no reason... So all of you... be thoughtful, strong people. Its not exactly the game people hate about it... Its more or less the fandom people dont like. Both game series are fantastic in their own way, but both do have their flaws. Same can be also said for it’s greatest aspects of both.
I still however dont get how people still hate the fandom for it’s toxic fans. Every fandom has it, but since its popular that means its an easy target?

I feel like the games are perfectly fine, it’s just that one small part of the community that’s so loud, and it gives me the wrong idea of the community as a whole.

I like to think of the 8 melodies and the love theme as the main themes of each game.
man, I love how this piece just kinda summarizes all the games at once, and really makes you remember all the lessons you learned from them.

+OstilMusic by ear??!?! well then thats even more intense. thx for the sheet music i sent this link n sheet music to my theory teacher who has like perfect pitch n is a piano god n has conducted many symphonies n orchestras n knows like most classical music by heart n he said he could play it but it was difficult so if u can do this by ear while "bored" plz compose some originals cuz i cant imagine wat u can do just by improvising for fun
+Roger Waters Haha, yeah I do all my covers by ear (aside from the vids where you see me using sheet music). I try to avoid looking at fanmade sheet music or other covers so that I can create something unique. I have quite a few original compositions on my channel as well! I love to do random improvisation which end up turning into songs that I record haha. It's tons of fun. Feel free to check them out. :D

+Roger Waters Hahaha thanks. I wouldn't claim to have synesthesia...but music has been a part of me since I was pretty much born. So it's pretty much a part in my way of thinking. Hard to say if it affects my other senses and such...but I'm sure it does to some degree. I guess I can "see" the music? I don't know... :D
I always imagine a Mother 3 film when listening to this it starts off with Claus dying and him finally being at peace, but not dead yet
then Lucas tugs on the last sword with a bit of hesitation, immediately the ground rumbles and he stops and looks at everyone there
then there's cut of Nowhere slowly being destroyed by the earthquake and we see some characters like Salsa or Wess, then when the love theme kicks in we cut to where Claus finally draws his last breath, and at around 3:05 his spirit leaves his body and his ghost, along with Hinawa's, is there all saying hi and ghost hugging Lucas and flint, then they both disappear after that section of the piece to the final part, where we just see portraits of all our main characters one last time, boney ready, flint smiling with pride at Lucas, and kumatora crying in duster who's holding his tears
Lucas gives a final nod and smile and at 3:36 he pulls the entire sword out, scroll up to where the sword flies up, along with white light, a silhouette of the dragon roaring and screen fade to black with Mother 3 logo
very detailed but it really adds to the tone for me
I'm actually planning on making a Mother 3 film. I feel that the story of Mother 3 is one that should be shared with everyone. If only I knew what the name of it would be...

how do you record the piano?
Hi! I'm recording direct into Reason. So USB connection from my piano to my computer. Pretty straight forward, nothing fancy. :P
how is your pc like?
I have a pretty decent gaming computer. But I sometimes record with my laptop which is pretty average. You don't need a beast of a comp to record to be honest. It doesn't take much effort to run! I think you'll be fine with any standard built comp. My comps aren't built for sound production that's for sure haha. :P
