I hadn’t realised how soon (or ‘early’, rather) it might be necessary to try to avoid spoilers! Back in my day all we had to worry about was not hearing the football results until ‘Match of the Day’ was on later that evening, or waiting for the F1 highlights, perhaps.
I’m off to see ‘Wolverine & Deadpool’ next Monday (July 29) with the kids and ‘ummed & aahed’ over whether to go, alone, to a ‘premiere screening’, this Wednesday, at midnight. If I don’t see it this Wednesday I guess I’ll need to initiate some kinda ‘emergency protocols’ to avoid spoilers for a whole FIVE days! Not gonna be easy, especially since I also need to ensure I don’t read about it in any comments sections!
Please, if you know anyone involved in the sexiest man alive award TELL THEM TO MAKE HUGH AND RYAN JOINT WINNERS.. THAT WOULD BE HILARIOUS AND THE BEST DECISION EVER.. because it’s true.. they are the most decent, kind and genuinely good and down to earth men on the planet which makes them SEXY.. I want to see the interviews when this happens.. 😂❤

Ryan was surprisingly reserved and tame in this interview.
I suspect the poor fella is knackered! A lot of people might say “How hard can it be? All he’s gotta do is fly around the globe & plug the movie” but, I’m sure it takes its toll after a while. I’ve seen many clips where journo’s are wheeled in & out, questions asked & answered, etc. in the last couple of weeks, in Oz, Asia, Germany, etc. and it’s probably the least fun of the whole filmmaking process. It also depends on what time of the day this interview is being held. Ali Plumb is probably aware of both & always seems to do a good job, I feel.

I love how much Hugh laughs at Ryan's just casual conversation. I laugh at him constantly, and Hugh doing the same really humanizes him true.
They spent so long shooting, then traveling together to promote and it Hugh doesn't seem tired of it at all. He absolutely loves Ryan
Back in school i remember drawing Wolverine in his yellow and blue costume during classes i couldn't focus on. To finally see it in the big screen was pretty glorious. Thank you Hugh for giving it your best as Logan all these years, and Ryan for bringing him back one more time.
I appreciate how much Ryan clearly appreciates Hugh and the character of Deadpool. Their chemistry is just infectious together, and seeing them together as Deadpool and Wolverine is just so good. God I can’t wait to see this movie

100% agree, this is one of those cases where it's not that Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool, he just is Deadpool. They are synonymous. Whenever I read any of the Deadpool books or comics I literally read it in Ryan Reynolds voice.
Yep he’s never acting.. In fact, I have never seen Ryan act.. he’s always himself and I would not want it any other way.. Ive been waiting for Ali's D&W interview and he did not disappoint. And as someone who enjoyed X-Men Origins Wolverine I appreciate how much love that film got in this interview.

Hugh called their film a "friend-com", so I decided to look up "buddy film". Turns out it's right on point.
"The buddy film is a subgenre of romantic comedy, a combination of the romance, adventure and comedy film in which two people, bonded through some kind of affection or love for each other, go on an adventure, mission, or road trip. The two typically are males with contrasting personalities. The contrast is sometimes accentuated by an ethnic difference between the two. These two are the most perfect adaptations ever conceived.

Thank you Ali for choosing to spend your very limited time with these legends giving them some genuine and heartfelt compliments. I will never get to say it to them personally but it makes made me really really happy to see that someone did, and you could tell how they truly appreciated it.

Ali is legit my favorite interviewer on this channel. He's so thoughtful and warm with his comments and questions. You can tell that actors are genuinely comfortable with him and they genuinely enjoy him. Must be a relief when they do their press tours to know Ali is always going to be a good pit stop on part of the tour.

Ryan saying how one of the most important ingredients for a movie is "love" just shows why this was such a massive success compared to most similar films now. That's something I've noticed severely lacking in many movies/shows in the superhero/scifi/fantasy genres. Not just romantic love but any truly emotional moments between the characters. It helps gives those things a soulless feel.

To me Deadpool and Wolverine are the Laurel & Hardy, Abbot & Costello of Marvel Superheroes. They complement each other’s styles. So different and unique with a comic flair. Deadpool’s irreverence sets up Wolverine’s super serious demeanor which then adds a comedic twist to the conversation. Very cool… ying & yang so to speak of fun entertainment.

It probably already is, but no doubt this franchise will end up being not only the GOAT of all franchises but it also stars two people that are legit genuine, likeable, and entertaining, the deep friendship is obvious and it's a wonderful thing to see.

It's really amazing how the Deadpool films and character came about.
It's unusual to have an actor play a character like R.Reynolds playing Deadpool in X-Men Origins written for that portrayal of the character and then years later the same actor teams up with 2 writers and writes their version of the Deadpool character for his own movie and everybody is just blown away by it.
It's very cool indeed.
