- Kia has won the prestigious Gold Award in the Automobiles & Transportation category for its flagship all-electric SUV EV9 at the 2024 IDEA Awards ceremony held on September 12 at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, Texas. The award recognizes the excellence and originality of the EV9’s design, as well as the innovative nature of Kia’s renowned “Opposites Unite” creative philosophy.“Good design should always reflect the relationship between our users, our products and our brand, and we believe that EV9 achieves this. These aesthetic qualities helped the EV9 win top honors at the Red Dot and iF Design Awards, as well as gold at IDEA 2024.The EV9 represents Kia's strategic commitment to maintaining its leadership in global sustainable mobility. The all-electric seven-seat SUV is the first production vehicle to feature Kia's 10 'must have' eco-friendly features, which are featured in all new models and embody Kia's commitment to developing natural and sustainable bio-based materials.
