haha same here, I spent a good minute or so trying to figure out what was going on. I initially thought the bass was added in post, then I realised he must be using an octave pedal.
"smokey maple butter" is what Elizabeth's voice tastes like to my ears, and there's a little splash of bourbon in that beautiful guitar solo with the overtones.
Piano chords here (including changes/extensions from Vulf version) Key of E major. Eadd9 G#7/D# C#m7 Bm7 E7 Aadd9 E/G# F#m7 E/B A6/B A few passing chords in there too, but that’s the basic bit! Update: I think the passing chord between the C#m7 and the Bm7 is Cm7 (it just descends in half steps).
Randomly listened to this while driving and I legit shed a tear now I wasn't neigh emotional that day but it seemed the appropriate response. It's such a good rendition, very soulful and smooooth, smoother than silk voice amen hallelujah
Out of this world....Heavenly..... Utterly spellbinding rendition by Hunter (what a voice!) and excellent accompaniment.... Their performance gives a more profound meaning to the message of the song - appreciate the things that matter most in life, wait for the moment for the right person or people or events to fill your life with what's most important, love, affection, kindness, peace..... Just love it! Thanks to my dear friend, Bo, for first showing me this song with his bass guitar.
This girl can sing! Sounds like a real soul sister. A white girl with big beautiful black vocal chords who could sing on stage with Aretha. She’s incredible. There’s always a rare person who fits the bill for the most incredible gift you can imagine and this girl is one extraordinary talent.
Hunter's voice is like Marmalade sweetbread on a Kentucky dew drop October morning with a hint of wistful nostalgia sauntering amongst the juniper sprigs and forlorn lily planning their last hurrah before winters nip intrudes. Seriously though she's really good.
I honestly couldn't be happier. The best cover band covering the best original songs band. By the way, wait for the moment is one of the best songs ever.
Her voice is the feeling of chatting in an Italian restaurant under candlelight and listening to the sounds of other people enjoying their summer evening
We lost our infant daughter in February. She spent most of her life in the hospital nicu. We lived in a Ronald McDonald house on property. I would leave for work 3-4 in the morning and have about an hour commute and my wife would stay with our daughter. I discovered this song one day when coming back from work to the hospital. And even though lyrically it is irrelevant to our little girl every time I hear this song it sucks me back in and makes me think of the beautiful and priceless times with her. It’s hard and painful but it is also so indescribably beautiful.
This is absolutely amazing! Her voice technique, the musicians, the feels and chills while listening to all of it. I've had it in loop since yesterday. I love it too much. I looked up "Hunter Elizabeth" on TH-cam and she barely has 430 subscribers. How is that possible. I really and very much would like to hear more of her. That voice is incredible. Thank you for this video!
One of the best voices I heard in quiet some time, all the musicians are good, thank god for the existence of this channel, you are doing a great job !
This is everything that music should be; Pure, Authentic, Mesmerizing! I've never heard this song, so this to me, is my original version. The vocal Is so rich, thank you for this!
Wow. Apparently there's a ton of amazing singers out there! Everytime. I discover a new SP vid with a "new" singer I haven't seen yet.... and everytime I'm just blown away. Again.
Mom said, "Wait for the moment!" Gone home, went to bed While the other kids, they're still outside I don't feel time when I sleep So I snuggle up with my sheet And wait for a brighter day I'll play football tomorrow With only my best friends People I like, but I don't love, are not allowed I wonder if Sharon will see me But I'll play cool 'Cause cool is what you have to do It's hard to make a point When you're living so loud Turn it down Trying to get my friend excited About not being invited I say: "That's an opportunity!" Butt dialed I smile Listen dialed I smile It was so nice to get a call Sharon, I'm good at stuff And you're into stuff (woo) Let's make products Oh, oh, I'm a product guy And you're a produce girl I said money money money money money money will be spent I'm attuned to the grooves That turn you off Bass man, ooh, break it down! Ooh, butt dialed I smile Listen dialed I smile It was so nice to get a call Oh, Sharon, ooh, oh, I'm good at stuff And you're into stuff (woo) Let's make products Oh, yeah, I'm a product kind of guy And you're a produce kind of girl I said money money money money money money money money Will be spent Oh, I'm attuned to the grooves That turn you off, oh Oh oh, ooh
@@twobirdsstonedatonce I do love Dean Town, I think my favourite instrumental of theirs though is Rango III. Something about that vibe is so chill - Dean Town live was unreal though!

Artin Ight brb
@@ArtinSinger woah thanks for that!
Jack Stratton plays bass on an early one too
that acoustic guitar with a bass tone just broke my brain
man, you should have listened to the Carol Kings' "Tapestry" to have the roof swept by Larkey-Taylor bass-acoustic /electric :)
what does he use? an octaver ?
@@mikrogoon i think so
He could be using a Little Thunder pickup...can't quite see in the vid
haha same here, I spent a good minute or so trying to figure out what was going on. I initially thought the bass was added in post, then I realised he must be using an octave pedal.
The accuracy of her voice💯
Theja Lhousa the he auto tune of her voice 💯
Her voice just tore into my soul. Please do more of these with Hunter.
I love the way that piano sounds. You can hear all the stuff creaking inside and it's muted a little too much. Love it.
I THANK GOD FOR LETTING ME EXIST AT THE SAME TIME THAT FKIN VULFPECK AND SCARY POCKETS .
and the bass solo, damn.
Exactly the bass solo before the end. Boom
"smokey maple butter" is what Elizabeth's voice tastes like to my ears, and there's a little splash of bourbon in that beautiful guitar solo with the overtones.
Beautiful analysis.
EXACTLY!
her lyrical movement is absolutely sick. like butter on hot cornbread
The piano. The voice. The recording. All sound amazing. We are lucky to get this.
Piano chords here (including changes/extensions from Vulf version)
Key of E major.

Hero
Can I make my money rain on dat fantabulous ear work? :DD
The passing chord between C#m7 and Bm7 is C7, if I'm remembering the Vulf demo properly!
Thanks for the key!
Thanks for the key!

Just unlike it and re-like it. 🤫
If perfection exists, it's Hunter Elizabeth's voice here. 😍
I love her tone. I've just found this, and have listened to it more times than I'd care to admit.
At the very beginning, you can even hear the light noise of the piano sustain pedal... Delightful.
Out of this world....Heavenly..... Utterly spellbinding rendition by Hunter (what a voice!) and excellent accompaniment.... This version made me realize how gd amazing Antwan Stanley is.
Her voice is extremely interesting. Her style is very unique. Love it.

Didn't expect that deep voice!! so beautiful. I love that you can hear the tapping on the piano too.

One of the most beautiful covers on TH-cam. That voice!
Vulfpeck covers from Scary Pockets is the perfect gift!
I've been listening to this every morning since Ryan and Elizabeth sent it. It doesn't annoy me yet. Absolute gold.
W're apparently a little surprised to NOT be a vaccine centre againg. I don't care Hunter E tells the fringes of my being. I go from there on...

OMG! Never ever heard something comparable! Out of league!
1:18 - I hoped so much that he would do percussion for the rest of the song. That palm sounded so good on that baritone, craziest tone ever
Such grace in the singers voice...

One of my favorite songs on youtube, absolutely flawless! Thanks for releasing on my birthday!
Great job! Elizabeth is so fantastic singer!
She’s got the soul in her heart! Just spectacular vocals 😊That’s why you should never judge a book by its cover.
Goosebumps, so much goosebumps. And that's not a figure of speech but the actual phenomenon!!!
This is wonderful all around, but the way she just throws off that "Sharon" up at that octave like it's no big deal is just...exquisite.
Mesmerizing! One of those songs you wish never end
It's been a while since something gave me chills THIS BAD. Amazing vocals.
