I think it’s very brave of you to admit that you are apprehensive about Sebastian going to school. It’s wonderful that you have moms who have had experience with the same issue. I was wondering if you ever tell Sebastian no when he acts up? As in the doctors office when he wouldn’t sit on your lap.
It’s so very hard to choose my favorite “Sebastian-ism” They are all so dang adorable. I think the smile when his Mama is giving him scratches on his head is definitely high up on the list.. but oh man when he busts out his sick dance moves - my whole heart is happy. lol Such a blessing to see this little dude have such a BIG impact on the lives he touches. We live in a different world these days, and it can be kinda dark & a lil scary to think about … but there are in fact some really good things / people who shine a light so incredibly bright…. and they show us how beautiful life can be. I’m soo glad you brought up this subject Steph. My nephew has Asperger’s syndrome and he is a big, 6’3” 23 yr old man now, whom gets very violent with my sister if he doesn’t get his own way or has a temper tantrum. It’s very difficult for her, especially as a single parent. We do get scared that one day he might really harm her, there is no way he would ever be put into care. So it’s just something that my Sister is willing to risk for the love of her child, and we can all relate to that as parents.
He is so precious 💕!! He really enjoyed the soup and ravioli. So sorry about the surgery but hopefully it will take care of it. I've been watching you and your family for a long time now and Sebastian has come a long way. Prayers and love.🙏💖
I understand very well that you feel about Sebastians school. But he will be love it. I worked in a school for kids with special needs and the teachers, therapists and rhe nurse were wonderful with the kids...many kids have her own school compagnion. They did phantastic work with the kids.. ❤

Sebastian has made so much progress. He is eating so well these days. He is getting so strong and I can see he enjoys playing with his toys a lot more now. Sebastian is such a beautiful child. Maybe he could be in school for half days in school in the future and you could volunteer in the school a few days a week. You are such a great mom Stephanie! xoxo

My daughter, very medically involved, started school at 3 years old. It was hard so I started with half days. It worked out great. The teachers are very capable taking care of these kids. You can go in and be with them. I ended up keeping my daughter home after 9th grade. The schools in our city (Racine, WI), are rather violent, so I wasn’t comfortable with her there. I sent her for socialization, she wasn’t going to learn
Your soup looks amazing! I can see your hesitation on sending Sebastian to school. I feel it's your choice when your ready. He's getting more than his needs met. You'll know when the time is right. Sebastian is absolutely adorable how did you teach Zeus to sit and wait for his food we have a lab and he gets so excited for food that he tries to eat it before I pour it into his bowl
Merry Christmas! So glad he gets to celebrate it at home. Sebastian seems so much more happy and communicative since his ear surgery. I just have a quick tip. If you make large batches of soup you can freeze portion sizes in boiling bags. Just too in boiling water. You can also freeze soup in silicone trays which have 8oz. sections. It has been a game changer having soup ready to go.

Not at all! He would get more therapy at school. School is so beneficial, it’s just so hard for me to let him be with strangers. That’s just being real 😩

Sebastian may not be able to verbally communicate but he communicates in his own special way. I have come to understand him. But one thing I've noticed is Sebastian understands. He has grown so much in the last 1.5 yrs. I can tell Sebastian feels so loved. You and Gio are just beautiful patient. I wish u lived near me because I admire u in so many was. No wonder why Sebastian pick u and Gio as his mommy and daddy. You were picked by our Heavenly Father to be Sebastians Mom and dad..and Gio's family is just so in love with ur little man. Sebastian has made great progress. As far as school is concerned, everyone is different. In 1986, my nephew was born with Trisomy 18 syndrome and they did not have the services that they do now. He became very ill when he went to school (to the point of hospitalization). You and your husband know what is best for Sebastian. He may do very well in a traditional school setting. If you decide against it, home schooling is an option. As stated, you know what is best for your little boy!!

Freya is only 4 and a few pounds heavier than Sebastian. She weighs about 20 pounds and Sebastian is about 17 pounds. She’s a strong kid as well.
