Yes! Someone who feels the same way as I do about the brown/tan interiors! Give me a brighter color any day or even black or white! Brown to me clashes with a lot of colors. Sell the planner, there are people who buy it to not pay for shipping. Then you can pick up the other somewhere else. I never liked the planner, and it was my first hobonichi.

Lovely haul! Yes, the cover on cover will relax a bit and won’t feel so bulky. And your pen loops will open up and align better if you keep a pen in there. Grab a pen without a rubber grip and it will slide right in. I also encourage you to try putting the cover of the planner inside the pocket of the cover. I don’t have any issue accessing the small pockets - when I open the cover I immediately have access to the small pockets. Give it a shot, then you don’t have to look at the black cover. I hope you enjoy your goodies!

Don't worry about the blk cover. Buy a clear cover for it, so all you need to do is wrap your planner with a cute card stock paper or any vellum (using a white sheet underneath to cover up the blk cover) and then the clear cover and you're done !!

The Twinkle Shells cover is so nice, the giraffe is so sweet! There were some fancy covers I wanted but I was anxious to spend too much money but I'm sure I'll be indulging a bit more next year! 😄
Nice haul! Also because the books lay flat, if you put both flaps in, you can still access everything just fine because it won’t pull the book open. Just give it a go and then you won’t have to see the black cover

Love your haul! About the dented book…. Hobonichi have amazing customer service. If you send them some photos of the dents, they are likely to send you a replacement. It’s not a tiny dent, pretty substantial and they like their customers to be happy. I would contact them via email.
