Also, this is SnakeEyez second tournament EVER. So he's a tourney newbie, using a pad, with the "worst" character in the game. And he just won at the biggest stage in America. That's just totally awesome.
I remember DGV being known as the best online player back in the days. I've played him probably over 20-30 times on PS3 and besudes winning rounds here and there I could never get a win with my T-Hawk or Chun Li.
I LOVE using low tier characters cuz it shows one true skills! I'm a old school gamer who played games like sf2, xvsf, sfa *, mvsf, mvc, mvc2, cvs*, so on and so on and all i use are low tier mainly. i can most top tier characters, but it's not as fun.
You guys do know also that DGV prefers a snes pad right like he even has a couple modded to work on xbox360 and shit. Talks about it in his strevival interview. So both snake and him rep that pads. Also Fanatiq pad, believe wolfkrone at one point or still does.
HD remix might be one of the most balanced fighting games ever, a real fighting game, where it's not the character that determinate if you are gonna win or lose (MK i'm talking to you =D) it's just the player.
@armbar21 justin wong had too much pride. he should have switched and won. All gamebee did was mash SRK and it worked on justin. Also that's high level play. on a mid level of play the tiers make more of a difference. Its not the same as HDR because i've beaten great players and i've lost to great players using low tier characters and i wasn't the least bit surprised. i play deejay and he's low tier and its so hard to win with him. in HDR winning with cammy or t hawk isn't that hard.
@TeitiTT Lolwut, Mortal Kombat has always been respected for it's balance, Mortal Kombat 9 alone has around 15 top-tier characters, the problem with it at high level is glitches and infinites.
@PLEEZENinja I beat some top players in HDR too. Anybody can win against any player. That's why i love this game. Super Tier Fighter 4 on the other hand =/ lol

At about 4:12 you can hear me yell "COUNTERPICK THE STAGE HE'S TOO HYPE" to snake eyes. I couldn't wait to get back to see if it could be heard and his reaction. So glad to see he heard it and listened

The moral in here kids is: Use the character you like and the controller you are most comfortable with.

thats right lower the tier character the higher the skill needed to compete against the higher tier character.
actually the sf4 pads are meant to be copies of sega saturn pads which alot of old school players agree was the best pad for fgs.

I play vega with the d pad on the xbox controller. It's what im comfortable with and people say I use a turbo or stick =/

You can't SPD someone in block stun so you always have the option to jump out
