@@ryanshaw3268 For the Renault 5 Turbo, it's normal to not have many on the road anymore. It's an 80s car what do you expect, a homologation rally car no less. Years have passed and many are either used for racing by privateers or driven by people. You can say the same thing on how there's not a shit load of Golf R32's and not quite alot of Sierra RS500's on the road too now but oh you wouldn't bash them as much cause they're VW or Ford. It simply became rare just like most old car that isn't an affordable econobox. Not fair anyway to compare to a Golf GTi which is not even a homologation special. As for the Clio V6, it's production number isn't quite as much, adding to that it cost a pretty money back then, now it cost _quite alot of money_ now because people are treating it like a collectible car instead. (You can still occasionally find the Trophy version for cheap though, but they're not road legal and for racing only). Reportedly it's very nice to drive too but at the limit it's as scary as the original "widowmaker" Porsche 911 Turbo. It's production units is also limited
They drove it on top gear and both clarkson and the stig said it was impossible to drive fast almost bordering on undriveable. But after all it was just a concept car built in just 2 months.

It was basically a love letter to the Golf fan boys. There was never plans to put it into production, and it was undrivable. The stig took it around the top gear test track and it was pretty slow.

This isn't a coach build job or a body on frame design like a Land Rover Defender, or a TVR the chassis is part of the entire car and this is still a golf underneath it all. Just because it has an axle from a Gallardo doesn't mean the chassis is designed to handle it. Maybe actually understand how vehicles are built, and the difference between ladder frame, body on frame and a monocoque chassis. You must be one of those car guys who don't actually know anything about cars at all.

I’ve seen this thing in person. It’s actually in the Volkswagen museum on their Wolfsburg factory plant. I can really recommend going there. Their whole factory is beautiful.

If you all like the VW Golf W12 Check out the VW W12 Syncro. Another level from VW and that blue interior they come with is something else. They also do a W12 Syncro roadster as well.
That engine is a work of art but should never be in a small chasis. Need low tq and an engine to rev out. They have so many better engines. Especially since they used the r8 subframe. That turbo engine would have been perfect.
It was never going to go into production, it was made for the World Golf car meet in Germany as shout-out to the Golf fans. It was basically undrivable.

However still more impressive than VW because they actually produced and sold them by the thousands instead of just a PR car for "scheisse un giggles", and has the same philosophy, or more correctly, beat VW to the punch with the philosophy - ruining any semblance of hatchback practicality by just dumping a wholesale engine in the middle, make it RWD and add THICC bodykit to it, and like I stated before, did something VW don't do - sell it to the public.

i had an 07 gti 2 door 6 speed leather int, had an intake, some nice exhaust work done, trans and engine mounts, R8 coils, custome tune, boost cranked up. was around 300whp i was told. ( idk how accurate that was ) but i sure left a few srt4 calibers and older bmw's in the dust haha. Was a good car

It was also completely undriveable. Couldn't hold traction in any sort of turns. Violently spun out if you even thought of turning the wheel at speed. Very show stopping indeed.
The thing was undriveable when clarkson had it on top gear. If he even tried to turn, it would spin off or understeer off the track. Great in a straightline though! 😂
Jeremy Clarkson drove it on top gear some years back. While it accelerated in a straight line like crazy it didn’t handle well since all of the weight was in the rear and it had such a relatively short wheelbase for the engine layout be power it was making. It’s still amazing tho!!!

Now that's awesome. I actually used to wish that car companies would take some models that were fwd and offer them rwd. I know it's not as simple as that. But I really wanted to see Honda offer versions of the civic, accord, and prelude rwd. Toyota offering the camry and celica rwd and so on with other manufacturers. Some of the funnest cars were only fwd which is good if you wanted a good reliable car in the snow. Don't get me wrong nowadays people take any cars you can think and modify them, some manufacturers offer installation kits but it's not as cool as being able to go buy a brand new Honda Del sol rwd 😂😂
You should look up the 'VW Oettinger 500R'. In my opinion the best looking (and driving) VW ever made! I owned a Oettinger Audi myself and Oettinger let me test drive their 500R. Absolute BEAST!
I was playing need for speed when I was teenager, and Vw Gti was in the game, then I saw this car's in the city, then start to wonder why Gti participating in the game? And learned about it, what was in it, engine transmission, and I said oh man this is the car to have. Drove one and loved it, it's bullet.

I was playing need for speed when I was teenager, and Vw Gti was in the game, then I saw this car's in the city, then start to wonder why Gti participating in the game? And learned about it, what was in it, engine transmission, and I said oh man this is the car to have. Drove one and loved it, it's bullet.
They drove it on UK Top Gear. Nothing worked and it couldn’t take corners it just spun out every time. Looked sick tho
I still remember Jeremy Clarkson driving this on Top Gear. Could barely take a turn at speed without swapping ends. This car was EPIC!!!
If I remember it right Top Gear showcased this golf and on there test track it did nothing but spin out due to it being unstable
