My favourite has to be the navy/black thobe with light biege ghitra that some Qatari guys wear in winter. It looks so great.
Not that they don't look great in any colour (fans herself).
I absolutely love this channel it has answered a lot of my questions that Google couldn't, This channel defiantly has earned a subscription.
Very interesting, JazakAllahu khair. After years of wearing standard-sized thobes, I've recently had some thobes made to measure, and they are so much more comfortable,, Alhamdulillah.

Just had a custom thobe made after seeing this video. Custom made and custom tailored using a super white somewhat stiff fine Egyptian cotton twill fabric from one of the finest tailors here in Houston TX. It is very similar to the Mr. Q style thobe or Emirati style. Got the thobe and all accessories (+3 ghitra) made @ a price of $500 USD. I would like to hear what you guys think in regards to this custom made thobe!

Typically the emirati thobe is looser. The Qatari thobe is more fitted (like a suit).

He said it may degrade the fabric over time and after repeated dry cleaning. What do you guys think of this? I can only speculate that you guys have so many thobes in your wardrobe that this would not be an issue...

we use starch on the ghitra and sometimes a bit of starch on the thobe or nothing at all

I bought a Thobe in Mekka but it’s Polyester wich I don’t think that it’s a good option for warmer days like in times where I did my Umrah. I would love to buy a couple of Thobes 100% Cotton. Do you guys know a serious OnlineShop? Best regards from Germany!

No not at all, just make sure the thobe is longer than the trousers to make sure that you dont see the trousers when you walk

1. cant ride bike with a thobe, you'll have to pull your thobe up and it isn't "appreciated" here. When he needs to urinate, he pulls up his thobe. It's not a lock or anything, it's just a clothing that goes over your under clothing.

Usually a ghutra may range from about $3 for a softer lighter cloth to around $100 for a crunchy, steady material.
A normal bisht may start around $120 and it goes up to $1000 for a customized/higher end bisht.

a good egal is really up to your liking, but generally a egal that is in trend for the qataris is a thick, smooth egal that is a little heavy, and have the Karaakeesh which is the tassels. A trendy ghutra for the qatari during the summer would be a plain white ghutra, or a winter ghutra
