First of all let me tell you Imam Abu Hanifa is not Allah, he is not Rasoolulah. He is a Muslim, a believer, he is a scholar, he does his research and he put his research foreword for the ummah, and made things easy for the Ummah to practice. We don't worship Imam Abu Hanifa, we only trust him and the research he has done and we say, rather than accepting the research of someone from today we have more confidence in the research of Imam Abu Hanifa [ra].

Mashallah excellent insight I never can understand why some of these modern salafis, ahle hadees hav so much hatred for this great imam. If you look to the big scholars of the salafi movement they hav no issues regarding his status or madhab becoz they cant his legacy speaks for itself.

I was there for this talk! It was when rumours had arisen about Imam Abu Hanifa and Green Lane Masjid (so I've heard) did a stupid talk which bad mouthed him. I mean really...Imam Abu Hanifa? Pick an easier to fault, then at least you may stand a chance!
